Jus Nice - Living Proof
Artist: Jus Nice
Producer: Cardo
Album: Fressh Mixtape
Label: We Got This Ent.
Doubters, stand down; Booth newcomer Jus Nice is Living Proof. Proof of what, you ask? Of… his own freshness, apparently. The Jersey-by-way-of-Brooklyn emcee’s latest mixtape leak, making its world premiere on our frontpage, is intended to make manifest a few simple facts: Jus is here, he’s real, and he’s got the skills to reign supreme. Cardo works the boards, serving up a guitar-infused retro-soul instrumental which the artist proceeds to lace with braggadocious freshness. In between larger-than-life boasts regarding his whips, his facility with the females, and his knack for attracting stacks, he fills listeners in on all the vital facts, from his early influences (“Grew up on that Jay-Z, Nas and that Scarface…” ), to just how long he’s been on his hustle (he started at the ripe, young age of 14), to his official page’s URL (“Kinda like my website, Somethingfressh.”) Now that you’ve gotten familiar with the Northeastern buzzmaker, are you craving more new tunes? You’re in luck; Jus Nice’s latest street album, the Booth-sponsored Fressh Mixtape, is set to hit our front page for free streaming and download April 21.

The beat was dope, but the lyrics were nothing special to me.

A good, but not great introduction for Jus. The production is a nice accompaniment for his vocal stylings, tone, and cadence, but he didn't overly impress lyrically. The end result sounds good, but Jus will need to show more as we move forward for casual listeners to latch on.

The beat and production on this track are too good to be backed by the sub-par lyrics Nice spits. I like Nice's flow, but I think he talks too much on the track and doesn't focus enough on his lyrics. If his lyricism improves, I can see Jus Nice making a splash.

Guess she told y'all.... Anyways, The production shines through here. If he wasn't going for lyrics, he accomplished his task...

That beat is indeed fressh but Jus isn't saying anything that 1-5 rappers given this beat couldn't. If he keeps the beat selection above par and gets the lyrics up he'll be fine.
