As the title of his forthcoming junior album, Born To Lose, Built To Win, suggests, Juelz Santana‘s determined to climb to the top regardless of who or what stands in his way, and many of his recent buzz tracks have found him taking aim at all those who have predicted (or even prayed) that he’d fall off the face of the rap game. On his latest street single, Days of Our Lives, Santana sounds as driven as ever, and his passionate verses will have longtime fans half-expecting him to shout-out Roc after he does Dipset/Skull Gang. As if that weren’t enough, Torrico contributes a percussion-whistle beat reminiscent of Just Blaze‘s work from back in the day. Though Hova and Cam have been quick to shoot down rumors of a Dynasty or Diplomat reunion, this nostalgic banger is sure to please listeners who have long hoped for a return to that era, as well as raising anticipation for the fall release of Santana’s latest LP.

Thiiiiiis is the Juelz I miss... the track has that perfect mixture of streetness, intensity, and mainstream appeal. The production is really light, especially when the whistle is added. Juelz spits some of the nicest verses I've heard from the man in a long time. This track gets me excited, cuz it sounds like he's getting closer to some quality tracks for his new album that are at the level of some tracks on "what the game's been missin". This is the track that has me now anticipatin his album.

Yeah, this is a great comeback track for Juelz. That production is TIGHT and Juelz fit very well with it. I agree with Juanito that this has me waitin for his album. I haven't heard anything special out of Santana in a while and this shows me he has some new material. I'll give it a 4.

This is what the game has been missing right here..Just Blaze sound is dope sounds like some of his old work. The lyrics are on point the hook works well with the whistle in the background. Hot!

Hmm...I don't know about thia...if this is the real Juelz, then I guess he just isn't a good rapper in my opinion. Nothing he's come out with has made me go "Hell yes!!!!"
On this one, the production is like a fake perky. It feels like, "Yeah, I'm pissed, but I'm going to pretend that I'm happy." I am not at all a fan of that. And his flow...something about it just annoys me. I don't know...maybe I'm just being irritable. I'm not in the best of moods...either way, I'm giving it two stars. I'm sure I'll get crap for it, but I am more than equipped to handle it. Bring it on, haters! :) |

Juelz is moving in the right direction. I dig that the production fits Juelz style, but I can't get into that whistle. The Ying Yang Twins ruined the whistle for me.
Looking forward to more Juelz, whether solo or with Wayne. |

Well Juanito_88 has already pointed what i wanted to say but i will still go ahead - dis is the most impressive rhyming I have heard in some time from Juelz ...
Santana is such a pleasure to listen to with his solid flow & if dats not enuff he always shows cleverness & wit in his choice of phrasing and punchlines ... @bowwserr - fam, there is a reason why Juelz is one of my fav Rappers along side Kanye, Luda, Koopa, Loso cos they all share a similiarty; Clever PUNCHLINES ... that might not make u say "Hell yes!!!!" BUT will def got u sayin "Damn! homie, why didn't i think of that?" (there's a difference)... Prime Example: /im GOOD like GOD with an extra 'O'/ |

I'm Loving this Juelz...Classic Juelz. Back to doing him. To me it seemed like he was trying to keep up with Weezy, Which isn't gonna happen. (He was trying to hard) But this is a good foot back in the door track...

Juelz sounded great on this track, but I found the production to be pretty average.
Its a good track to hype up his upcoming release (Another album that ill find myself buying), but it wont be a hit song with the mainstream public. |

@Mr.Top Hat - Clever punchlines mean nothing if the song as a whole isn't good. He can't deliver those punchlines like Luda or Cham can. He's no where near their level, and he has a long way to go before I will call him "good." Coming out with a song that's a lot better than this would be a good place to start.
