The Booth has been bereft of new music from Jovi Rockwell ever since she dropped Ben four months ago, but her new joint might just be ill enough to make up for the lost time. Keep It Real is Ms. Rockwell’s latest leak off of her forthcoming mixtape Psycho Therapy Vol. 2, and I can’t lie, this joint got me open. The Co-Stars provide a beat tailor made for coolin’ out with the homies in the summer, plus they use a loop that any true hip hop head will recognize and immediately vibe with. As for Jovi, she is up to her usual vocal tricks as she rides the track smoother than a newly paved road. With dope sing-song verses and a killer reggae-tinged hook, the innovative Jamaican artist shows us that despite splitting from her major label deal, she still got it. If you’re feeling Keep It Real like I am, make sure to cop Jovi’s new mixtape when it drops in March, shortly after she performs at the vaunted SXSW Festival.

It's hard not take just one listen to Ms. Rockwell and not fall in love with her style and her sound. She stays true to her reggae roots, infuses some dope old school hip hop into her vocals, and is sexy all-the-while.

i loving the weird sound, and i was grading her looks i would have rated a lil higher but this isn't a beauty contest...this is ok nothing extraordinary great...im sure this is for a mixtape and not a single

U have to give this 4 stars alone for the beat. Smif-N-Wessun's "Bucktown" is a CLASSIC. This will be a standout selection on her upcoming mixtape.

Just a great chill out track. On some real lazy sunday afternoon stuff. Plus Jovi even quasi-rhymes in the beginning - I think Jamacians come out the womb knowing how to flow. It's in their blood.
Point it, I could put this on repeat for an hour and just kick back. Thank you Jovi.

Jovi, if you're reading this, PLEASE DON'T EVER TURN INTO AN EMO "POPSTAR" (like a certain other Caribbean artist who will not be named). THIS HAS APPEAL JUST THE WAY IT IS. (LOVE the reggae vocals mixed with the clarinets on the beat)

Jovi is much different than I expected from looking at that pic. It looks like brittany spears in the toxic video or something, but thankfully they sound nothing alike. I enjoyed this, it was cool, but it didn't blow me away by any means. The production was great and Jovi was good throughout and maintained the chill vibe.
