In my mental dictionary, the phrase “Dilly Dally” (v., to waste time, especially in indecision) is filed next to “chop-chop!” and “cattywampus” under “Weird Slang Only My Grandma Uses.” Jovi Rockwell, however, has decided that the time is ripe to reclaim the term for a new generation. On the latest leak off the forthcoming, DJBooth.net-presented re-release of her Psycho Therapy mixtape, the reader-acclaimed singer/songwriter announces that, whether you like it or not, she and her crew are going to dilly, dally, and dally-to-the-dilly from sundown “til the break of dawn.” The combo of singer/producer Bruno Mars’ grinding synths and syncopated percussion, and the Kingston representative’s sing-song vocal style makes for a track with an undeniably unique, party-ready vibe – the only question is, of course, do you like it or not? For those who answered in the affirmative, there’s plenty more in store. Simply put: Jovi is un-categorizable! Talk about a melting pot of influences, styles, and sounds... "Dilly Dally" is an mishmosh of worldly music. I found this record to be very enjoyable!
Oh, and there is more where this came from...

This is a real odd song. She sounds like M.I.A. a lot, like it was a imitation her. I like the lyrics but her voice sounded different like this was a group and not a single person. Hmm...Maybe it's just me. Oh yeah, what is Dilly Dally?

While I wouldn't categorize this as "awful", I don't think the production fits Jovi's strengths as an artist. Straight pop. She's capable of more.

Wasn't sure about this one at first, but now it's earned guilty pleasure status. If you just relax I don't see how you could not have a good time listening to this. (And yes, I'm aware that was a quadruple negative.)

I'm feeling the beat, and had no idea that Bruno Mars had added producer to his resume. I like the fact that its a combination of so many types of music. Sounds like something you would hear while walking around a street market in India. It has alot of radio potential too, I could hear it covering a number of radio stations from r&b and rap to pop, top 40 stations. Judging from her look, and sound its the type of artist that I want to hear more from already.

Definitely sounds like MIA. Way better than MIA lyrically though. The beat was hot on this, like how it switches up from time to time. Only bad thing about this song is the hook.

She reminds me of M.I.A and to a point even Lady GaGa. M.I.A with her lyrics and Lady GaGa to the point of her odd songs. Its catchy and will probably get a lot of nighttime spins and maybe be real big on the radio but i don't see too much of a bright future for her.

Janky Spanky You don't know what your trying to say... you said her flow is like MIA....and Her songs is Like Gaga but yet she don't have brite future... i think your a bad critic this girl have looks, style, good songs, thats a recipe for stardom to me!!! Jovi Rockwell will be a smash!!
