One of the niftiest, and most-used features on my Android handset is Shazam, an application which can ID just about any recorded musical work in existence. I suppose it’s a good thing Love at First Sight singer Jori King isn’t on the cutting edge of mobile phone technology – if he was, he wouldn’t have been inspired to write his latest promo single, which finds him transfixed by a mysterious, unidentified tune that reminds him of his girl. From the “female = music” concept, to Rob-E‘s sugary synth boardwork, to King’s singalong hook, this record may remind some of a recent smash hit by a certain Virgin Islands-bred singer, but that shouldn’t stop the record from worming its way into the ears of pop-loving listeners everywhere. And, it should be noted, Jori’s taste in women in completely different: he likes them like “La, la-la, la-la, yeah, doot-do doot do-doot doot,” not “Na na na na.” (I’m more of a “Hum de dum, bop bop she-bop” guy, myself.) Our Song is only a promo single, but it leaves no doubt that Jori King’s going places; keep it locked for the latest developments in the career of this rising pop star.

he's back...i believe this kid has some potential...but first the engendering is horrible...:)...second this track is really sloppy for me...and sounds like its just a hook and no verses, basically its too commercial for commercial...but it shouldn't be hard to get this on the radio...and theres is no doubt that an a&r will be giving this kid a ring but this is just too comerical for me and i love pop music...sorry

This fits right in line with any of the sugary, pop/R&B music at radio today. Does that make it good or bad? Well, if the goal is to make money, gain fans (the female variety), and generate a buzz in order to tour its good. If you strive to make the opposite, well then you probably should select a different genre.
Jori's voice isn't as sweet sounding as some of his mainstream competitors, but I'll be damned if he cannot get this out to the masses.

I was so happy to see Jori because I know how much heart he puts into his music, and how interested he is in perfecting his talent. I really liked this, and though it's definitely radio-friendly, I could listen to it any time.

I love this song it does remind me alot of that Iyaz song so i know fa sure it will be a radio smash . Cant wait to hear more Jori checked out the love at first sight and its pretty dope as well keep it up

I don't really like pop music or if I like a pop artist they probally work with r&b and hip hop acts too. Jori is as pop as pop gets. I wouldn't be surprised to hear this on the raido, actully I'm expecting to.
@ Jori, You have such a positive attitude. You could of eaisly said that DjKidd was hating or something stupid like that. But instead you thanked everyone and even told Kidd he didn't need to be sorry. I love that. |

@HoamBoy thank you so much sir for your feedback! And all I can say is that being negative towards the people who critique my music isn't going to get me anywhere. Besides; I need all the feedback I can get. How else am I going to improve myself? This is only my second single. Never had any real vocal training and just realized I had the ability to write "okay" lyrics. So I appreciate any type of feedback. Negative or positive. Anyways, thanks again!

I think I said this the last time around, but Jori King is the most responsive artist we've ever had in the Booth (which, by the way, I love). I bet I could ask him if he's a Burger King or McDonald's man and he'd answer. Let's see...
Anyway, this falls in that "not my thing but I totally get how other people (a.k.a. my 15-year-old niece) would love it" category. Let's just say that if I turn on Power 106 and hear Out Song, I won't be surprised. And yes, that's a compliment.

jori certainly is dedicated and takes every bit of praise or constructive criticism into account, judging by his personal responses to every comment posted on his songs. dedication like this puts him 1 up on the majority of arists out there at the moment. i can certainly hear the "replay" comparison which is a good thing- like eveyrone has already said, tihs track will blow up on radio no doubt. love at first sight was my favourite out of the two but they both bang!

This track is the poster child for a radio friendly track. If I was switching stations in the car and I heard this song it would be something I'd let ride out, lets just put it that way.
