Having written hit songs for big names likes Tyrese, Mariah, and Mary J., Johnta Austin is finally ready to step up into the spotlight himself. On The One That Got Away, Austin once again shows his skillful penning ability as he describes lamenting over a woman who is leaving him; he still loves her and can’t stand being without her (you know how it goes). The smooth, acoustic guitar/violin accompaniment should make this a hit among all who enjoy easy-listening music, not just urban. Johnta’s already proven he can be a hit with a pen and paper, September 25th the release of Ocean Drive should give more insight as to whether he can be a hit with his voice as well.
remix to a good reaggae beat it will kill, throw a little Sean Paul ( the jamaican one) or Buju Banton on it an it will be huge! sounds a little like old R Kelly(in some parts!), he can sing still. 7-10
Won't work for radio z? Why, because it's a incredibly well crafted song and radio only plays crap? I can see it having the same crossover appeal as Ne-Yo.
damn i sleeping on him to be honest but this is decent. not as hard as holiday's bed but good. if this rotate on the radio now he could make a nice entry. and the radio does play s**t.
he co-wrote Mariah carey`s hit singles, we belong toether, don`t forget about us, it`s like that, and shake it off, and co-wrote MJ bliges, be without you from her no:1 selling CD so this guys knows how to use a pen, he also produced shortie like mine, and outta my system, both singles of bow wow i believe he was dropped by RCA records back in the Mid 90`s i`ll bet there kicking themselves now...and i hear Jermaine Dupri is ft on a track called Turn it up. so looks like this albums gonna shift a few copies
