While the word “Catharsis” is typically associated with the release of emotions, it originates from a Greek root word meaning “cleansing.” Thus, it’s a fitting title for Joey BadA$$ latest feature (and the latest leak off Johnny Shipes’ forthcoming compilation), which finds the Pro.Era spitter announcing his intent to clean up the game over a laid-back industry instrumental from Madlib. Neither Good Talk Vol. 10 nor Joey’s 1999 LP have received a solid drop date but, as always, fans can keep it locked for the latest. Additionally, those residing in NYC can catch the artist performing with the rest of the Pro.Era crew at the Knitting Factory on the evening of April 27.

This was pretty damn Dope!!! I always loved this super-throwback beat and this is a great rendition by Madlib. Joey Bada$$ ripped this proper! Really nice work... BANGER Music!!!
