Joell Ortiz - Psycho (Freestyle)
Artist: Joell Ortiz
Featuring: Pharoahe Monch , B.o.B
Producer: B.o.B
Album: Unreleased (TBD)
Label: Lush Life/eOne
Featured in the Booth early last month, Tech N9ne‘s Am I Psycho was pretty damn crazy, to say the least. Nonetheless, on new freestyle Psycho (recently released via the artist’s Twitter), Joell Ortiz gives the Strange Music head honcho a run for his money, enlisting underground phenom Pharoahe Monch to drop some certifiably insane bars over B.o.B.‘s piano-led production. Complete with Bobby Ray’s hook vocals (though missing Hopsin‘s guest verse), this unhinged freestyle has yet to be attached to a specific project. Keep it locked—Booth readers will be the first to know if/when details on Ortiz’ next project surface.

I really like Joell but sometimes he has just way too much fun on his music. And honestly sometimes it just isn't that good. Pharoahe Monch killed the song though. It's okay.

Pharoahe should have been on the original right alongside tech, Hopsin and B.o.B.
Joell is falling off though... |

Just can't compete with the original. Although that may be more due to the tenacity in that than anything lacking here.

I grow tired of remakes, especially ones that go totally away from the original, like this...
