St. Joe Louis - Good Morning
Artist: St. Joe Louis
Producer: Elete
Album: 30,000 Feet and Rising
Label: Unsigned
Whether their name is a reference to boxer Joe Louis or the city of St. Louis (although they’re based in New Jersey), or both, everything you really need to know about St. Joe Louis is contained in their DJBooth debut single Good Morning. St. Joe, consisting of group members Michael Cardigan, Elete and Tommy Chase, have been grinding on the underground for a minute, but Good Morning was the first I’d heard from them, and after my fifth consecutive listen I was hooked. Produced by Elete, Good Morning centers around a driving piano line and distorted guitars, a fittingly energetic backdrop the trio use to drop rhymes with the eye-opening power of three espressos (unlike Kanye’s Good Morning, which was more like a lullaby). Ladies and gentlemen, I think we’ve found a new morning anthem. Good Morning is off their upcoming project 30,000 Feet and Rising, which currently has no set release date. Stay tuned for more from the up-and-coming crew.

HEY DJBOOTH MEMBERS!!! ;) Wake up already! Good morning to y'all... it's morning only here in Europe so I'll forgive the lack of ratings on this one. (but I'll check back later, don't disappoint me!)
Definitely going to the mp4 and becoming my new alarm. This is great! Uplifting joint. The guitars, piano line and hard drums work well together. The breakdown on the chorus is beautiful!!! Much due to the artistic approach these guys took on this song: they used their rap ability to serve this joint's concept and expressed themselves accordingly. Gotta love the humming in the begining... =) that shows love and honesty on the creating process of a song. I'll take the opportunity to wish my fellow djbooth members/staff a happy new year! |

I got you amigo! Though I was planning to skip posting on this! (as I've mentioned why in Booth Results), Imma do this for @FredRico!
But its funny there's nothin much left to say after his constructive feedback (as always), but I'll try. Though this ain't changing my alarm tune (that remains Luda's "Stand Up") but I absolutely enjoyed every second of it. And it immediately found a comfortable home on my Mp3 right after first listen. The song is beautifully constructed with layered production with many parts, yet it doesn’t feel convoluted or complex. Good concept, great execution! |

Ya'll know I'm from New York, but I'll throw love to Jersey for this banger track. FredRico hit the nail on the head on it, nothing much else to say.
