Despite overwhelmingly positive reviews, R&B singer Joe’s last album, Ain’t Nothin’ Like Me, was the first since his ‘93 debut to not achieve at least a gold certification. Ready to give it another try, the 15-year industry vet is set to drop his seventh studio album this fall, entitled Joe Thomas: New Man. On single number one, Joe is rushed to the E.R. after being dangerously in need of someone to love; with the right treatment, however, he trusts that he’ll be fine by the end of the night. Producer D’Mile adds a heart-pounding beat which, when mixed with Joe’s medically-related metaphors, creates a potential unsettling result for female listeners. Such creativity should result in a definite hit for Joe and build anticipation towards the release of Joe Thomas: New Man (September 23).
This is decent, but I feel Joe is just sounding like everyone else now. I usually liked his originality before. This sounds like something Usher would have just came out with. It's overall a great song though, aside from that note. Joe's been gone for a while, so this is refreshing.
Haha this is so random that we feature a new track by Joe tonight because I just heard 'St-st-stutter' on the radio today! It made me miss this dude. Good to hear from him again, this is a pretty strong R&B track (sticking to the typical original formula) but welcome back Joe.
I'm a big fan of Joe. He is known for bringing quality consistant R & B. This song, off the bat, does nothing for me. I'm sure he'll have some tracks that I will dig off the new album. This may grow on me, but for now. Not diggin it.
This is nothing new but still an enjoyable r&b track. Nice beat, smooth, good voice. I'm feeling him in the bridge...I'm gonna download it, I'm a sucker for r&b tracks
Joe is real real smooth. He has long been one of the most underrated R&B singers. The concept of this song is somewhat original, but the overall effort isn't as moving as it could be. The production, however, is real solid. I am anxious to hear more new Joe...
Liked the concept of the song until he decided he needed "loved tonight." I agree with that1kid13, started off good but i lost interest towards the end. I want joe to do well though!
Damn this is really very good. When I first listened the average rating was under 3 stars, and I was very surprised after I heard it. Usually I can trust you guys! Haha this is a banger.
I am really feeling this song, any song that JOE put out. I'm also dangerously in need of someone to love, and by the way I am a nurse. Need one in video hit me up on email, for free , for you JOE. GOD bless!
