After his planned sophomore album, The Growth, had been repeatedly delayed (and eventually shelved) since 2004, Joe Budden finally got released from his contract with Def Jam earlier this fall. Enjoying his newly-independent status, Budden prepares to release the third installment in his critically-acclaimed Mood Muzik mixtape series, For Better or For Worse. Ready to switch it to a 5th Gear, Joe puts on a freestyle clinic in one seamless flow by moving smoothly from point to point without hesitation. A bonus beat making lesson is given by WMS the Sultan as his synth-horn production sounds exactly like Just Blaze (circa the Dynasty years). The long-awaited Mood Muzik 3 is set to hit the streets sometime between mid-December and early January.
Being that I grew up and lived in North Jersey up until recently (moved to south jersey) I used to be able to drive past Joe Budden's house and see his def jam hummer parked outside, and you could always catch him at the strip club in Jersey City too...I am stating all of this because I am somewhat biased towards him and his skill. He is extremely talented and he has what it takes. Def Jam delayed his first album which came out a whole 6 months after the first single came out; throwing his whole career off. It's not his fault at all and this track is just another superb example of what a jersey's finest have to offer the hip-hop community! Can't wait for the mixtape!
man ive liked joey since his first cd...those walk with me and calm down joints...friends of mine used to joke bc i liked the cd but i kept tryin to tell them that he had talent...im glad hes finally coming out with some new material...looking forward to the come back...lets goooo
Joe Budden should consider himself lucky to be out of his Def Jam contract. He must have a catalog bigger than Pac after sitting around for almost 4 years without a new album. This is solid, but then again it's Joe Budden; I didn't expect anything less.
when you dis Jay z the president of joes parent lable def jam no wonder this has caused delays... it all started on a remix of pump it up and DJ Z its actually 2 years if you count the mixtape can it get any worse

alright Im not gonna lie joey dont really make radio play music but he owns the title of "man with the sickest word play" he paints portraits with the music he spits
