I can’t remember the last time I was this surprised. Was it when I discovered that squeaky clean family man Tiger Woods was a stripper loving sex addict? Or perhaps it was when I realized Bruce Willis was actually dead in The Sixth Sense? Whatever the proper analogy, the point is that I did not see Jim Jones’ new single, Perfect Day, coming. Inspired by the recent success of pop/rock/hip-hop hybrids like Nothin on You, or at least that’s my guess, the Harlem gangster has taken a decidedly different route on Perfect Day, recruiting producer Logic to craft a lightly strumming, guitar laced, feel good jam underpinned with just enough bass to not completely float off the streets. As for the vocals, if you were longing to hear Jones sing in auto-tune assisted harmony and rap about the purer pleasures in life, sentiments echoed by Chink Santana, today is your lucky
perfect day. Is this the crossover hit Jones needs to make his upcoming album, Capo, fly off the shelves when it hits stores on February 22? We’ll find out soon in the comments below.

Was Jimmy snooping around Bruno Mars' last studio sessions? "Perfect Day" couldn't be more from what you'd most expect from the Dipset emcee. Clearly, winning over his fans in the streets isn't going to pay the bills forever...

DIPSET is obviously thinking outside the box...infact they just forgot out the box completely when Jimmy made this track. But when you think about it, the streets can have a Perfect Day...though this is far from what Ice Cube would call a good day it is still enjoyable.

Obviously the Dipset loyalists will support anything who comes out of the camp, but for as much as I think Jones has improved, this is wack - other than the subar singing, subpar rhyming and obvious Bruno Mars influence production it's not so bad.
I'm sorry, but I have to call em like I see em. |

Obviously i'm gonna be standing alone here but i actually really like this. Just because its not what you'd expect from him doesn't mean you can't appreciate it. This is actually a very good very catchy song, that despite what alot of Booth listeners feel could possibly see some big success on the charts, and radio. Nice Job.

WOW, im suprised with everyone's comments and ratings. I think this is an amazungly good song. I cant help but absolutly LOVE this. Everything about it is solid greatness. The production from Logic is striaght FIRE. And Jim Jones goes to work on this, with a different look. And i love it. His verses are crazy good and the chorus is so catchy. This is a BIG RECORD. I dont understand how it couldnt be.....
