Jim Jones - Blow the Bank ft. Oshy
Artist: Jim Jones
Producer: Magnedo7
Album: Pray IV Reign
Label: Unsigned
It seems Jim Jones knows how to make big spending a national trend; after setting off the “baaallllin’!” phenomenon with his breakout hit, We Fly High, he brought his Byrdgang in to make the money Splash, and now his Ron Browz-assisted Pop Champagne is the biggest hip-hop single of 2009 thus far. So, what’s next for the current king of Harlem? Why, Jimmy sees a fine lady he’s willing to Blow The Bank on. With a soulful hook from newcomer Oshy and a smooooth synth beat from Magnedo7, Blow The Bank isn’t an official single yet, but don’t be surprised if it’s selected as one in the future. Jones’ fourth studio album, Pray IV Reign, will be released nationally on February 24.

I don't care what anybody is saying...Jim Jones is doing some new stuff lately...he's staying relevant. The production, vibe and hook on this is fly. This isn't bad at all. I think he'll experience good crossover success with this and "Pray IV Reign" is about to be a decent album...even for Jones. Real talk. I can't hate. Gotta give props where props are due. I'd play this again and certainly turn it up if it came on the radio.

He's def relevant MH, no denying that. Can't get with a lot of his material though, but this can do some big things. I would love playin this on a Saturday night in the car headin to the club, it's got that "big city, bright lights" type of feel.
PS. Jus me or does Oshy sound a lot like Sisqo? LOL |

I gotta admit this song as well as the last one have been good. I'm not a fan of the cult leader, however my love for hating this cat will have to humble if he keeps bringing out bangers like these.

Jim Jones is actual good on this! I cant believe i just said that...
The last song he had here i bagged the crap out of him (I think it was Precious Ft. Ryan Leslie) saying he should give up, but maybe thers hope for Jones after all. And for the record, i think Pop Champagne is going well because of Juelz Santana's sick verse, not Jones's & Ron Browz's (though they are decent) |

I am with MH - this is solid (for Jim Jones, especially).
This is better than anything his camp has sent us for feature, and not surprisingly, the feedback and ratings are showing that thus far... GREAT production. |

Jim Jones is doing his thing. I wasn't really impressed w/ the hook, but overall it's a pretty good track. I would be surprised if this isn't a single. Keep it up Jim.

Hey! This has a real "feel good" vibe to hit. Big ups to Magnedo & on the production. Jim Jones may not be the best lyricst, but he knows what works for a club joint, somethin' for the ladies and the ballas. The bridge is smooth too. I think its hot!!!

The production on this song is hot, it's catchy and energetic. Jim Jones flow is good and Oshy sounds also good, but I don't like the melody so much...it kinda annoyes me, above all the hook! So to me it's only in rotation

the beat tight but it sounds to me that Jim Jones is gone into the pop sound. he tries to sound all hard and gangsta in his raps but with him doing auto tune on the Gorilla Zoe-Lost Remix and the whole Pop Champaign hes just sounding really girly like. i give this a one star
