Jim Jones - Swagger from Us ft. Lil Wayne, Twista & NOE
Artist: Jim Jones
Producer: Chink Santana & Kanye West
Album: Unreleased
Label: Unsigned
“Swagger.” It’s the latest “in” word. If you possess it, there is really no better way to spread the news than by creating a song centered on it. While you’re at it, you’ll probably want to use the word in the song’s title (and of course in the chorus). And who likes a single without guest features? Get a whole bunch of your friends, all of whom also possess it, and have them spit swaggerific bars about it. In case you were wondering (or, maybe, you don’t get out much), the song I am referring to (amongst similar copycat versions) is T.I. and Jay-Z’s dual single, Swagger Like Us. After it dropped this summer, Dipset Capo Jim Jones took umbrage; he has since remixed the song (now entitled Swagger from Us) with some tweaked production from Chink Santana, and guest verses from Lil’ Wayne (whose “swagger” is evidently certified), Twista, and NOE. So, do you possess enough swagger to take a listen? We think so…

The beat isnt a standout compared to the original. Weezy's new verse was average and Jim Jones was just iight..NOE was solid and so was Twista those were the 2 best on this track. This better not be the new thing where everybody freestyles over this cuz I only like Koopa's version. Ludacris woulda killed this beat. In rotation

Jim Jones is wack as hell! His verse was trash! He even had to put Wayne on the beginning of the track to get listens. All the other verses were good though.

First of all, the mix sounds horrible. I MEAN SUPER HORRIBLE...REALLY BAD. The revised beat sounds cheap. Weezy's verse on this one was a little better than his original. Jimmy's skills have increased a little. He's pretty decent on here. Man...not bad at all. That caught my off guard. Jay-Z's verse on this one sounded better than the original Jay-Z verse....lol (If you missed the joke...it's on you). Twista definitely smashed this. Overall, the track is only average and could have been WAY BETTER. This doesn't hold a candle to the original. I feel it's mostly because of the new beat and engineering. They actually would have just been better with rapping these verses over the original beat.
This could have been something more epic, but sadly, they missed the ball. |

Agreed with some others, the mixing on this remix is off. The drum pattern doesnt really match the beat and it just sounds really choppy.
Twista was on point, I knew he would go in hard here. Jones needs to get his own tracks and stop rappin over other peoples too! |

MH yes Jay-NOE really duplicated Shawn's swagger on this one. SMH This is not all that bad, but I gotta admit that twista verse is insane, problem is, it was rapped to the origional SLU track. On this it's off beat. This song should be called Swagger from them. Cause that's exactly what this is. What the @*#$!? Are ya'll serious? Wayne, why are you on this garbage?

uggg. umm i hate this version first off because jim jones is being a jealous biotch just because he wasnt put on the firs version..which i dont blame them. i liked everyone elses verses on this song [well they were ecent] other than jim's. swagger like us please he has no swagger. he's an embarassment to harlem for puttin this one out. honestly i hated ballin and his feautures on other songs im like why is he up there for he messes up every song...lmao...[i like juelz and cam way better].

Jim Jones really needs to step away from the game for a while, he jumps on nearly every big track & ends up sounding shit, yes he had a hit with We Fly High, but besides the hook & the production, the song wasnt any good (the remix was awesome though). On most of his songs, the dude comes up with a couple of good lines, but his flow is terrible & his voice just dosnt sound right. Twista was the only saving grace for this song, i hope he can get his act together & make another Kamikaze. I would of liked to of heard Juelz Santana on this.

@djmec - yeah that confused me as well. Obviously Weezy dosnt have a problem with 'selling himself to the highest bidder' (thats 50's opinion).
