Jim Jones has quite a busy summer ahead of him. Over the next three months, the Harlem born rapper plans to drop a full-length album with his Byrd Gang collective, tentatively titled M.O.B. (Members of Byrd Gang), a full-length documentary about his life, and his first solo album since signing a joint deal between Koch and Columbia. Scheduled for release on August 19, the as-yet-untitled new album will be lead by the Ron Browz-produced single, Tha Good Stuff. With a raspy voice, drunken flow and dual accompaniment from NOE and an unknown female, Jones appears to have possibly indulged in some of his own sh*t before recording the new song. So, is Capo still ‘ballin’ on this one?
Ron Browz's production is pretty decent. This is a different style of beat for Jimmy to rap on. I'm not really a fan of dude, but he did a'ight on this. It's worth 2 stars.
Sub-par single from Jimmy here. He was lucky that "Ballin'" received the overflowing amount of mainstream success it got. This record won't even have a chance to sniff the anywhere near the same amount of exposure.
Honestly I still can't figure this guy out. Part of me wants to love him and another part wants to hate him. This is one right here is pretty good. Keep em coming Jim and you'll make a fan of me
Jim Jones suck so bad im sorry, he doesnt have any flow and song half the song is adlibbing. And please talk about something different. Sorry this is why the black race has so many problem with stereotypes its because of rappers like this guy.
