After the relative success of Chain Hang Low and King Kong, rapper Jibbs disappeared from the music scene. Similar to ‘Lou rappers J-Kwon and Huey, Jibbs was written off as a one two-hit wonder (just ask our very own Nathan S.). Now looking to set the record straight, the self-proclaimed “Teen King” has returned with a sneak peek of his upcoming (untitled) sophomore album. Revealing the Main Ingredient in his music, Jibbs reflects on what it was like as an underground artist (hard work = get your shine on). Although Jibbs maintains a vulgarity-free approach (also see Chamillionaire), the 17-year old shows an obvious growth on the mic that is sure to silence some of his previous haters. In other words, don’t write him off just yet.
Man, this is wack! He is so trying to be like Young Jeezy on this one. And that doesn't do him any good in my book; because I think Jeezy is highly over-rated. I can prove it too...Tell me one verse that Jeezy said that made you step back and say "DAYUM, did you hear what he said?"...You really can't...he just has a delivery and flow that is good, but he aint sayin nothing (just a bunch of Yeeeeaaaaaah ad-libs that make it sound like he said something hot). Anyway, back to Jibbs...Sorry attempt to sound like Jeezy; and he definitely isnt saying anything. Weak...
I like this song....Yeah, he might sound a little like Jeezy, but this song isn't as simple as a Jeezy song...Don't get me wrong, I like Jeezy, but his songs don't have much substance. This song kinda got that LL, I need love vibe...
Jeezy Copier - whats jibbs thinkin? He isn't gonna get any respect for this track hot or not if hes gonna cop jeezy's style and even attempt the adlibs....
Okay. first thing i noticed before i read any of the comments is that this is A COMPLETE RIP OFF OF YOUNG JEEZY. But, Jeezy's style is the shit and so therefore, i still like this song....a little.
