I’m not saying that giving your new song an eye-catching title like Spiderman on Vitamins will guarantee a feature on DJBooth, but it doesn’t hurt. Although we had never featured Brooklyn newcomer Jesse Abraham before, we couldn’t help but listen to Spiderman on Vitamins, and once we pressed play we found a creatively-flowing, unstoppably original emcee that we were fascinated to find out how DJBooth nation would react to. Spidey’s beat comes courtesy of Spills, who combines a shaky string section with sharp claps and heavy bass to form a backdrop for Abraham to do his expansive lyrical work on, and work he does, dropping references on everything from, of course, Peter Parker (“Crawling!”) to his early days as a Hebrew school troublemaker. Will DJBooth embrace this record like a long-lost lover, or like a cactus? There’s only one way to find out – get to commenting below people. Those in the former camp should keep an ear out for Abraham’s upcoming EP One Day, which will be released in March 1. Might we suggest Aquaman on Steroids?

I am not a fan of placing white emcees in a box or stereotyping their sound or style on the mic, but there is one overwhelming constant - they have great diction. Such is the case here with Jesse, whose flow and lyrics are both solid. And thanks to that great diction, both are easily enjoyed.
Lots of creativity and an introduction worthy of a second Booth feature (easily).

Pure fire! The way he attacks the beat is crazy. Innovative, witty, interesting ideas. And the beat's ridiculous. Didn't know who this cat was before...I'm a fan now.

I have to say, I thought there'd be at least a few more folks who found themselves turned off by Jesse's off the wall style, but so far it looks like nothing but props. I couldn't be happier to see the Booth support original music. I listened to every syllable of this track, and I can't say that about many songs. It looks like we'll be hearing some more Jesse on the Booth in the future.

DJ Z...do you rate anything other than a 4...I am white, and putting diction aside, some white guys should not rap even if they could be a poet..b/c hip-hop to me is a struggle..that's what it was always about, getting a message out from a place where there was not a voice before...There's no way this dude grew up in Brooklyn and came away with this Buffalo suburbia white tone to his style...Paul Wall has weak lyrical ability but at least I know he knows what he speaks...

ima Fan of creative unique artists like jesse, XV, ETC. but this song didnt really cut it for me. Ill give him his props hes creative in hes definitly talented but i would like to see him keep this creativity but find a slightly different approach because i dont but something on this track jus seems off to me.

Wow! 2010 is definitely the year of new artists emerging in hip hop. This guys flow is madness. Love the wordplay. He rides the hell out of the beat. Only heard a few Spills tracks before, but I'll definitely keeping my eye on any new tracks from either of these two
