Winslow, Maine singer/songwriter Jeremy Greene has dealt with his fair share of growing pains, from dealing with his mother’s substance abuse to being abandoned by his father. Sometimes, the best way to wash away the pain is with some Rain. Influenced by the R&B and soul grooves of Usher, Brian McKnight, and Montell Jordan, Greene has brought singer Christina Milian, and Baltimore rapper Bossman, both of whom recently signed record deals with the newly-formed MySpace Music label, along for his journey. Producer Wyshmaster contributes some behind the boards cleverness, but how many artists are going to continue to use the ”T-Pain Effect”? Comparisons to Justin Timberlake and Timbaland aside, Rain will find love in somebody’s club—if it happens to be yours, be sure to wear a rubber!
WHERE THE HECK HAS CHRISTINA MILLIAN BEEN?! Oh snap. I was surprised to see her name. This is a decent. It's clever....Jeremy Greene certainly sounds like T.Pain in the beginning. Christina snapped pretty good on this. This beat is nice, but it also sounds kind of cheap as well. I'll throw it in rotation.
Christina Milian is making her way back into the scene and she'll def. make it quick with this track. They all did really well on this and I'm sure it'll be a hit.
I like his voice, his flow is clean. This beat is generic. Christina is on fire, where is her pic at? She made this song better here. This dude has a future. Maine is on the map
I think after this year (i call it the year of the voice box) i hope to never hear of damn thing again...Every other song is using it and its ruining the originality of the song...the song content is very uninteresting
This song has Ashanty's syndrome... (see Brass Knuckles's review to get it) which means I wont listen to it again although it has the elements that were suppose to make me listen, it's just that the ingredients were not given to the right chef.
I am VERY anxious to see how well MySpace's new digital-only record label does for its artists. Mr. Greene has definite talent, but I agree... let's hear it all w/o the auto tune. Bossman has been slept on for years now, hopefully he will get some nice pub too. FredRico, why do you feel this suffers from THE syndrome?
ahahah michael my reaction was the same as yours...I was surprised to see Christina's name and had to read the title a second time to make sure I hadn't read at random! Anyway I'm feeling this song, great the digital production, the beat is good and Christina kills it! I also like Bossman's part...curious to hear the original version now
Z, I’m not actually talking about an artist loosing status but rather a formula loosing success. It has Christina Milian and all the ingredients to be a good song (T-Pain effect, good vocals by Greene, a generic yet futuristic beat…) yet I’m not feelin the track and I don’t see it getting famous.
its good to see bossman finally coming back out hes a hell of an artist. i think the song is fire but id rather have heard maybe tpain, chris brown or weezy on it.
Oh Christina Milian, where have you been? Granted, you don't a ton of talent but you so pretty.. anyway, song is good but chorus won't last long as something I wanted to listen to 20 times over. Moreover, I don't know if the Ashanti syndrome fits into a formula for this song.
