Birthday Sex is great, but unfortunately it only happens once every 365 days. Determined to make the rest of the year as enjoyable as your birthday, Jeremih has remixed his debut album’s second single Imma Star, this time around adding the Harlem hero Juelz Santana for some lyrical support. Juelz’ swagger filled verses gives the previously light Imma Star some street weight not found on the original with lines like “fast cars, fast money, fast women.“ Yep, that about covers all the fast things any man could ever want. Imma Star has yet to gain serious traction on radio, will the addition of Santana be enough to push it to the next level? Jeremih’s self-titled Def Jam debut is in stores and online now.

This song first appeared on the R&B / Pop Chart on September 28, 2009

The song has been in my personal rotation for months, but I have to admit I was quite disappointed with Juelz feature verses. Jeremih needs to listen to the work Mr. Santana provided for Chris Brown's "Run It" single back in '06 and then ask for a re-do or his money back.

This has been in rotation for a while, and I actually thought it was better than the original. Though this is certainly not Juelz' best, this is so far out of his element that you can't say he didn't do a good job. He made it work.

I wouldnt say its out of Juelz's element, as he has made some pretty good guest verses out of these R&B tracks (She Rockin That Shit Remix is probably his best effort).

I initially loved the original, but got over it very quickly. This remix does what it sets out to do, which is to get interest back in the track.

The first time I heard the Original, I was diggin the production/hook and certainly wasn't diggin the topical matter BUT after seeing the music video and hearing this song a few more times, I gotta rate this BANGER!!!

Juelz Santana was straight, nothing memorable though. So in that terms, kinda disappointing cos I expect better from him on such RnB features.

Have to agree with the consensus here, the Juelz verse is forgettable. Has anyone seen the video for Imma Star? Where Jeremih spends the entire video driving around in a crappy car? Puts a whole new spin on the meaning of the song.

I really like the original song but I don't understand how anyone wants Juelz on their track? "Aye....Aye" retire already...Santana totally wrecks this song for me...1.5 but rounding up because of the original

Juelz is falling off...He needs to come with that Lil Wayne/Juelz album ASAP. He hasn't been doing it for me since the Face off mixtape. And before that it was back like cooked crack mixtapes. Ever since Camron has said Juelz was on Sizzurp, he hasn't been spittin that fire. With that said, his verse could have been better on here, but the song is good with or without him. Jeremih is my new boy!!! He even inspired me to get a Mohawk!!!

I agree with Z on the Juelz part. I personally first heard Juelz on run it and thought he was beast but after i looked into him a bit more he kinda lost style. and yea the "AYE" is just so old. Jerimiah still goes hard on this track though lol. Amazing track. Original better. Period.

Z couldn't have said it better. Juelz must of lost his book of rhymes.

Diggin': The original "swag-n-B" vibe-which, as I can personally testify to you, is best LIVE in concert.
Not Diggin': Juelz's tired-sounding verse. What happened? To build on Z's closing comment, good thing Jeremih got the Def Jam labelmate discount, otherwise it'd be an even bigger ripoff.
