Jenny Bapst - Greater Love
Artist: Jenny Bapst
Producer: Indigo Child
Album: Jenny Bapst EP
Label: Vaziva Music
Considering the city’s reputation as the most romantic place on Earth, Paris should by all rights breed phenomenal R&B singers, non? Mais oui! In support of my hypothesis, I proudly present Greater Love, the latest single and first Booth feature from Parisian-born, NYC-based singer/model Jenny Bapst. Here, beatsmith Indigo Child sets a mellow mood with guitar arpeggios and understated synths as Bapst showcases her luxurious vocal stylings. Exhibiting a breathy, yet powerful delivery, the singer pays tribute to the man whose love keeps her from faltering when times are tough, and expresses her hope that he’ll stay by her side till the end of time. All in all, it’s one of the smoothest joints to hit the Booth since, um, when did we last hear from Sade? It’s been a minute, anyway. Craving more luxurious tunes from this globetrotting up-and-comer? Your wish shall be granted in February of next year, when Jenny Bapst’s new, self-titled EP is scheduled to hit online retailers and record stores everywhere.

This is a nice intro to Jenny's music. She doesn't display the greatest range on "Greater Love," but she has a pop-radio worthy voice and the production complement here is soothing on the ears. Also helping her are those beautiful looks (the eyes and the smile will only help her). I am super curious to hear what our members have to say about this one...

Well, first off, i must say that i LOVE the production from Indigo Chid. That was the stand out from the start. But then Jenny started singing, and i fell in love with her voice. Its so smooth and a very nice listen. This is a great record. I cant wait to hear more from Jenny Bapst. A banger, for a long time.

Well this was a nice surprise. Not only does Jenny have a great voice, she knows exactly how to use it. Add in a soulful delivery and I've got one of my favorite new mellow soul tracks.
And I know Richard wasn't comparing her to Sade in the intro, but kind of a Sade vibe, right? |

I'm not crazy about her voice, I think I need to hear more from her BUT she may just be in the lane of Sade where she knows how to pick production to suit her voice. That track is NICE.

i really love the track but her voice sounds really young to me... lacks something from being a true hit. I'll give it a few rotations for now...

This is a great introduction to Miss Bapst. She knows how to use her voice and vocal range and how to coinside with this 4 star production.

Looking at her I knew this was going to be the slower tone of Andy Allo. This is freshing to listen to.

She does have that old school vibe. Maybe a Chaka Khan-ish vibe but not Sade. But definently she has a beautiful voice. With help could be compared to Alicia Keys in my opinion.
