Doesn’t it seem like every rapper, even the ones with millions of adoring fans, believe the world is against them? Like Michael Jordan did throughout his entire NBA career, artists today have a tendency to make up imaginary slights, which they foster in order to add fuel to their competitive fire. Whether real or imaged, DJBooth Freestyle alum Jeff Chery strongly believes that his followers continue to have their reservations about his ability to truly excel. New premiere Doubt Me, the latest leak off his forthcoming Booth-sponsored release The Transition, finds Chery doing the same two-step as recent feature artists J. Cole (see Blow Up) and Pill (the other Blow Up), and again proving that he’s more than up to the task when it comes to putting in work on the mic. Joining the emcee over producer Kalaj Dame‘s moving beat is Brooklyn native Curt@!n$, who echoes the headliners strong sentiments on a less-than-desirable middle verse. Doubt Me is one of 17 brand new songs that will appear on the aforementioned The Transition, which is currently scheduled for free download at DJBooth on October 19.

CurT@!n$' verse wasn't bad, per se, it just felt a bit out of place on this track and may have worked better somewhere else.
