Young Jeezy - I'm Just Sayin'
Artist: Young Jeezy
Producer: The Olympiks
Album: Trap or Die II: By Any Means Necessary
Label: CTE/Def Jam/IDJMG
It’s only been a couple weeks since we last heard “don’t call me Young” Jeezy, but considering the lukewarm response to his last feature Greatest Trapper Alive it’s probably for the best that the raspy-voiced emcee didn’t waste any time in taking another shot at Booth success with his new mixtape leak I’m Just Sayin’. For those who thought the Snowman’s been off his game as of late, Just Sayin’ should at least somewhat reassure loyal listeners. Sure, Sayin’ isn’t exactly a new school classic, but the beat by The Olympiks combines symphonic strings and pounding bass to head-nodding effect, and on the vocal side of the equation Jeezy serves up some solid, if not particularly inspired lyrics. I’m just sayin; did Geico really need two shout outs? Still, fans of Mr. Jeezy (including myself) should be happy to have him back on the proverbial block and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if this track gets some legitimate love in the Booth. Even if you aren’t feeling Sayin’, don’t worry, a boatload of new Jeezy’s on the way in the form of his new mixtape Trap Or Die II: By Any Means Necessary, set to drop Tuesday, May 4.

It's a shame that Jeezy chose to spit only two verses over this sick Olympiks production, because with a dynamite chorus and another 16 this could have made an album (which immediately raises my expectations for this new album of his).
While I've been a fan of Jeezy's for years, its been hard to stay pumped up about his new album when he goes months and months without anything and then releases three mediocre singles. Hopefully, we get the "I'm Just Sayin" Jeezy on TM103. |

Now this is the Jeezy I want to hear. His last few tracks have not been that good. The production on this bangs, and Jeezys flow goes nicely with the beat. Definitely agree with DJ Z and agree that this should've been longer.

This is probably the first piece of production that the Olympiks have made that has delivered. I think their boardwork has been way overhyped.
Jeezy's sounded good, though I agree with Z, the track is way to short, another verse was needed. |

Really digging the beat by The Olympiks. Has an 80s vibe to it almost.
Jeezy definitely showed he still has the ability to make a damn good song. By no means his best but his verses over the catchy beat is a great combo. Wish it was a bit more but still not disappointing by any means. |

Production sounds pretty inspirational. I could picture Rocky working out to this in the meat locker. Jeezy puts forth more than enough effort of make a believer that he is back on this Thug Motivation shit. While his most recent features have failed tremendously with me, this one has a hint of success that has been less abundant with him lately. Hope to hear more dope "quality" music from Jeezy.

@ RyanSx this is the highest quality music he's made in a minute. He put his best into this one. Jeezy has a tendency to let the beat carry him, but this time he rocked it

This track could have been DYNAMITE.
But with Jeezy only spittin two verses over this crazy and sick beat, its a shame. If this track had a solid chorus and hook with an extra 15 verses this track would get into the album. I hope the album features an improved version of this track because it has the capabilities to do well in the charts. |

I like it, but I haven't heard anything from Jeezy lately that's better than his work on The Recession. I'm just sayin, it feels like he's slipping a little bit. Hopefully he'll bring it harder on the album.
@JKL11293 Good to see a fellow Celtics fan on the site. Go Celts! |

I agree with Z he could have went in on this track because the beat is nasty (and a little overused) but I can't say I was blown away, it's Jeezy and that's about it. Someone else could probably scorch this track, not sure who, I kind of think Drake or even J Cole

Once again disappointed by Jeezy, he seems to have rapper's word block or something, creatively he seems to have stalled. Production was banger, give it to somebody who will appreciate it and do something epic with it. Lupe maybe?

Jeezys slowly but surely picking up the pace as his album release date draws nearer. Still, expect much bigger and better things from him on the album!

I feel cheated JEEZY... O man this is like being short changed by a $1.50. It aint much, but 'I'm just sayin, can I get the full'. It wasn't bad though. It still grabbed my attention as always, but didn' keep me there 4 long.

This was pretty good, but I agree with those of you who said there should have been another verse.
