Since BOOGNIGHTS’ Cheers! pulled in the most stars of yesterday’s features, we thought we’d treat you to another New Year’s-themed cut that doubles as an all-purpose party soundtrack. Best enjoyed with a glass of top-shelf bubbly, the latest mixtape leak from Rock N Roll emcee JD Era finds the T-dot up-and-comer painting a vivid lyrical picture of long, carefree and very inebriated Champagne Nights. Drumcrazie mans the boards, serving up a lightly jazzy sampled groove as JD – sorry, José Rozay – encourages all in attendance to let loose and have a good time (particularly the ladies), as well as emphasizing just how much paper he’s planning to stack in the year ahead. Topped off with a silky-smooth chorus by rising soul singer (and fellow Toronto native) Lokz, this intoxicating track can be found on JD Era’s forthcoming TH1RT3EN mixtape, set to hit the net by the end of the month.

That hook feels so 90's to me for some reason!! The beat and hook overshadows JD sadly!!

u jno we only five days in the new year but im getting a little worn out by the new years eve themed tracks, for me all i needed was skillz Wrap Up and i was good. this decent, nothin over the top.

And just when I was finally recovered from my too much champagne nights. Digging this from JD, could have definitely use it a few nights ago, this is a club banger for sure.
@LewY Great call, the hook does sound kind of 90s, though I'm cool with that. Almost like something Blackstreet would have done maybe?

Oh, one last note: "Trying to stack pounds like a young skinny Cee-lo". Great line, but I'm willing to bet Cee-Lo came out the womb a large child. That dude's a human bowling ball.
