Jazmine Sullivan has already shown her vulnerable side with her debut hit, I Need U Bad and proclaimed herself Fearless with the titling of her forthcoming debut. Now, on Bust Your Windows, she focuses on a new, vengeful facet of her persona. In the song, the Philadelphia native gets back at a cheating boyfriend in a fierce way by smashing the windows of his ride. Accompanying her vocals is the production work of Salaam Remi, whose beat is filled with elegant strings and punctuated by horns that help proclaim her anger and heartbreak. Jazmine has been Fearless in baring her soul on the mic, but will audiences take to the rest of her melodic confessions? Find out when her aforementioned debut drops on September 23.

Real dissapointed here. "Need U Bad" is one of my favorite songs on the radio right now with the creativity and uniqueness of the track, not to mention her Alica Keys sounding vocals on the chorus. This right here though is a huge step back in my opinion, I can't get with the beat and the vibe of this is just really everywhere. Not a good follow up.

Jazmine is finna bring the sex appeal back for our chocolate skinned divas. I was digging "Need U Bad", but this right here! This is way better! This is going to blow her up! I swear it will. This production is awesome and she really snapped vocally. Forget what the radio hates! I feel we are on a movement towards changing what is the modern "radio" sound (Solange with "I Decided", Gnarls Barkley, etc.) This is great. I can't wait for her album. This might be my new baby's mama.

MH, it all depends on which city she puts first on her tour out of the Twin Cities or Milwaukee (Because if it's Milwaukee, I just might scoop her up myself-fell in love with her since her performance on 106 & Park).
Anyway, this song is SWEEEET, and the album is going to be HUGE! Now this has confirmed what I've been knowing-that girl is the FUTURE. I sure hope she steps inside the DJBooth soon for an interview! |

This song scares me. Dope as hell though. This kinda reminds me of that song by Janelle Monae " Sincerely, Jane" musically. This girl is already one of the strongest voices of this generation. Passion all over this track.

You can hear the true soul in this one. The original "Need You Bad" was wonderful, the remix kind of killed my dreams for her being unlike the ordinary, but this right here just brought it back. The strength in her voice, the story telling, and the beat that goes up an down with her voice and the story is too smooth. Don't know if this should have been a follow up to such a powerful song like "Need You Bad", but it is definitely not a bad song at all. 4 stars~(**)~

need u bad was a really good songs i even liked the remix ...her voice is something special kind of 80 soul but with more intensity and passion i think she need to sing with other artists because her voice give something unique and special to song like the the remix with ti and missy eliot i very liked the remix she killed it with her voice.

Philly represent! This girl has so much skill and has a beautiful soulful, passionate voice. I loved her first single and I'm loving this as well! It's def. different from the first song but I like it b/c her voice accommodates the beats.

One of the string notes is a bit too loud but her vocals at times invoke chills; she's got soul and talent. MJB in the making?? That is if she handles herself properly which remains to be seen. actually dis song is old as hell....it's one of her mixtape songs she did as an independent artist. "need u bad" was recorded after missy took interest in jazmine....but i like dis song....she gotta whole lot of otha songs i like betta tho...my fav is "im in love wit another man"...

I believe Jazmine Sullivan has a beautiful voice.. very unique. Bust your windows is one of the songs if you like it you "Love it" and if you dislike it then you "hate it". Personally, I believe the people hating this song are or have been in the wrong and so they do not like the song because it can reflect what happens to them. If you do right then songs like this wont be written. Although this song may spread an uproar and the community due too broken windows because men or women cheat, i think it is a wake up call and a great follow up song. She is gonna make it, she just proved that she can go from high to low and make it look good!
