As DJ Booth reported this past weekend, Kanye West was joined on stage by former label mate and close friend, Jay-Z, for the final set of his last remaining Glow In The Dark Tour date in New York. During the special guest appearance, Hova and West revealed that Jay’s rumored Blueprint 3 album is indeed in the process of being created and that West will handle all of the production duties on the LP. The duo then went on to perform a ‘first listen’ off the project, entitled Jockin’ Jay-Z (Dope Boy Fresh), which created a stir amongst the overly excited concertgoers. While there is no set release date for the project, it will likely be released before the end of the year. (Shouts to B.O.B.O.)
CRP = Crazy Ass Production!, the chorus has that old school vibe and its insane!! Jay-Z proves once again that he can rip apart any track and make it his own, he brings another flow that cannot be duplicated. The Roc is in the building, This is a 100% perfect teaser track for Blueprint 3, and a CLASSIC in itself!
THIS @*#$! HERE HOT !!! BUT WHAT HAPPEND TO TIMBALAND PRODUCING THE WHOLE ALBUM ??? BUT ITS ALL GOOD KANYE WEST OR TIMBO ITS GON B SICK PRODUCTION EITHER WAY CHEA......
the concert version seemed to have more enrgy and just way better overall. anyways it seemed like they used the concert hook for the track cuz the hook seems distant or reverbed, well not the whole hook just the jockin jay-z ppart. anyways i'll give it 3 stars. but the concert version seemed liek a classic. but still only 3 stars
I like this here reel hip hop feel to it and its a ye beat so it go hard. but it feel like jay is way past his time. listening ot it i'm like alright this coo not riding it to hard like a nas traxc or sumthing.
YEA THE BEAT HAS THAT OLD SKOOL FEEL I LIKE IT NOT A HUGE JAY-Z FAN BUT YEAH I LIKE THIS,IS IT ME OR IS THERE SOME HIDDEN SUBLIMINALS IN THIS SONG???DOPE BOYS IN THE BUILDING
YES! I saw this on a YouTube clip where he was on stage. I'm so excited that Ye is finna handle all the production! I was feeling like the new Jay project wouldn't be as hot if it had of been Timberland. This song will have to grow on folks I guess, but I know once people start riding down the block with it in the subs with the windows down...it will probably catch on a be a hit. I expect some more classic "Blueprint" type joints to surface for Pt.3 though, like "Never Change" type stuff. I'm excited about this though. Kanye's my favorite producer.
saw a clip of the glow in the dark debut and ive be fiending to get a full listen of this track...the stage performance was a killer compared to this but then again it's still a classic
I must be the only one who is absolutely not hyped about this. First single of Hova's career I can't really get into. Mainly cause of the beat, doesn't thrill me. It's actually a bit retarted
Big-A I feel you! I don't like this, too. The production is good and it's actually the only thing I like about the song. It's repetitive, he keeps on repeating jockin Jay-Z....I really can't understand what's excellent in this track, the ratings are very high! It's not garbage, but it didn't catch me. It's ok
This is pretty lame right here. I don't like this type of Jay-Z. This is just OK at best...It doesn't sound as hot. It's almost like 99-problems (which is a cool song); but I just think it is nowhere near what he is capable of. Could have been a lot better.
I wasn't ready to rate this track for two reasons. Number one, I may be biased because Jay-Z is my absolute fave, and Numero dos, Hov makes himself absolutely inaccessible to the online media and he's a mystery to the public but I will always stand up for him in an argument because of what an enigma he is rap-wise. This beat is crazy and I can't friggin wait to see what the BP3 will sound like because the first one is a classic and it intro'd Kanye to the game. I care not what anyone thinks this joint is bananas...could've been crazier but it's still dope boy fresh.
man that was fire Jay-z bringing The Blueprint 3 man can't wait. This song was fire, but not his best song. I mean it's no Dead Presidents II or Brooklyn's Finest, but it's something new for Jay similar to 99 problems.
Favorite line- that bloke from oasis said i couldn't play a guitar/ somebody should hav told him am a @*#$! rockstar.
wow what are you people talking about up there...this is a classic!!!! finally some visionary stuff, not the same old garbage we usually hear...the beat stays old school but brings some new school too (with the guitar riffs), and jay-z's flow is right on point to match the production...its just ridic
Straight Fire from start to finish. Hov and Kanye delivered Big Tym on this track. If you don't like it at 1st, give it another listen, and then another. The old school beat grows on you. Classic rite here
u know ever since jay z "retired" it hasnt been the same his flow seems that it dosnt have pop any more .......but i still have so much respect for the big homie
This song is not a classic he's had way better songs then this and it sounds like a remake of 99 Problems. Its aiight but not a banger.Kanye need to stop playin and do better than that.
BEST RAPPER ALIVE!!! STRAIGHT FIRE...KANYE ON THE BEAT..HOVA IS FLOWIN ON THIS ONE SON. BLUEPRINT 3 WILL BE A CLASSIC. SAW THE CLIP THIS PAST WEEKEND!! DOPE BOY FRESH!!!
WTF? why so low grades this song is good not jay's best, but better than most songs on here. Also how are people overrating Jay-Z he is a good rapper. He's had Reasonable Doubt, The Blueprint, The Black Album, and American Gangster all classics so how is he overrated. But then most of you guys ride on lil wayne's d*ck thinking he is the best rapper alive. The Carter- Average, The Carter II- Better not that good, The Carter III- probably his worst one. He had no classics and yet no classic songs, but he still gets 4 or 5 stars from you guys.
love the beat... has an ol skool run dmc feel to it... whoever grew up in NYC area when Jay was blowin up in the 90s knows hes had better verses but still way better than all this vocoder @*#$! today
cb126405.....if this is produced by Kanye, then its either Kanye gonna do it all or a combination of both which i think is more understandable for variation and style of production.......song is a four...kanye an jayz always gonna be fire
DIS DA JAM,CUS EVERBODY BE JOCKIN JAY-Z TOO!!! SHOUT,I BE JOCKIN HOVA TOO,AND DIS BEAT IS SO SICK,THEN THE CHORUS SO CATCHY,I LOOOOVVVEEEEE IIIIIIITTTTTTT!!!!!!! CLASSIC!!!!!
