For those who are thrilled over the partnership of Jay-Z and Lil’ Wayne on Brooklyn 2.0 (off Hova’s new album American Gangster,) hold your collaborative horses. According to a published report by MTV, Mr. Carter had the following to say: “[Wayne’s camp] sent the record and it was done… So it wasn’t like a collaboration thing. It was done already.” There you have it, an explanation of how joint ventures have been completed in the industry since Pro Tools and e-mail have been in existence. American Gangster will be released off Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam on November 6th.
The song is ok, it would have been better without lil wayne, no hate no disrespect jus my honest opinion
If your a true hip hop head your really gonna like this album its STRAIGHT FIRE especially the joint w/ NAS called success
DjRoyale, I really have not yet decided. Luckily, I get to leave everyone in suspense! I think I'm going to listen to my advance copy of the album on Monday and make the determination then. Have a great weekend.
Damn. This is crazy. Today I was driving on the freeway and for some reason I thought, "wow, what if Jay and Weezy came together on a track or even an album!" Imagine my surprise when I came home, checked DJBooth and saw this. HA! This track is dope. I'm lovin it. These dudes are the best. I hope to see more of this in the future. I would pay like $50 or more for a collabo album from these two. The beat sick too.
What we've been waiting for, but you can't tell me you're not dissapointed that Weezy doesn't spit a verse. Just for that I'm taking away a star, otherwise perfect. And stop copping out Z and give it a rating already, the world awaits...
I don't know if it's just me, but the song is not rockers like i thought. i thought this "collabo" was gonna be straight fire but...wayne didn't rip it like i expected. That's why i don't call myself a fan of his, he's just not consistent enough with ALBUMS. he could rip the hell outta sum mixtapes tho.
Jay-Z: should have retired already
Ni66a hasn't made a decent album in years
Just cuz Wayne is on it, that doesn't mean it's hot. this track is garbage
Jay-z is so wack lyrically
we listenin to dis shit ova across the globe man
and jay be killin this one, he shoulda hooked up wit nas or memphis on dis 1,
lil wayne is whacked
cant really hear what he says on most of his song uso
for all how says that Jay aint got skills anymore,
get this song:
"Ain’t No Love " ( done "live" with singer Jaguar Wright)
the email me or come on here tell me he aint doin sh!t!
I am definitely not feeling this beat at all. It is very basic and pretty wack...sounds like something from 5 yrs ago or more. The chorus is mediocre and both of them can definitely flow way better than this.
i dont understand why j is doing a song with this little cash homo bitch. wayne made a dis track on jigga and now he puts him on his album. money talks and thats how the hood is out of hip hop.anything wanye spits is shit
DJ Z, you have yet to comment on this Jay Z/Lil' Wayne Collab. In da NYC it's Tues., 11pm. In Chi-town it's 10pm. Wouldn't you say it's well past Monday? Holla! It's only fair.
