With the lead single off his forthcoming U.S. debut album, Lil Wayne collabo Down, Jay Sean made an impact that won’t be soon forgotten – last week, the record hit number one on Billboard‘s Hot 100. Now, the Jayded/Cash Money/Universal Republic hitmaker is looking to build off that track’s tremendous momentum and make sure he stays at the forefront of the national consciousness with follow-up selection Do You Remember? On the newly-released single, Sean is joined by the ever-hyped Lil’ Jon and dancehall phenom Sean Paul as he attempts to repair a rocky relationship, hoping to rekindle that old spark by reminding his girl of all the great memories they’ve made together. Like Down, this jam has undeniable club/radio appeal – thanks in large part to J Remy & BobbyBass’ upbeat, string-led instrumental, which sounds… a lot like their boardwork on Down. DYR? may not be a drastic departure from its predecessor, but Sean’s recipe for number-one success yields an equally appetizing result the second time around. Fans can find more ear-pleasing R&B/club cuts on All or Nothing, set to hit stores everywhere Nov. 24.

This song first appeared on the Top Hip Hop / R&B Chart on October 26, 2009

The very beginning, literally, sounds exactly like the beginning of Down. But it would be extremely hard to top "Down", i think that was one of the best songs i've heard this year. Wayne was way better on Down than SP is on this. I dont think the hook is as good as Down. This is definitely a song that will grow on me, but Down was an instant hit. I dont think this will be #1, but it will be a hit no doubt. Good follow up though. 3.5 but i'll round up cuz i think it will end up growing on me

Some artists who get to #1 right away have that being their ONLY hit, while others follow it up successfuly.

From the sound of "Do You Remember," it looks like Jay Sean will easily fit into the latter category (stateside, of course).

Great follow up effort. Another radio-friendly hit, and Jay Sean sounded great on these verses with great auto tune-less verses. Feel good music right here, perfect for the ladies, but I really respect perfection. This here is radio perfection.

How do you spell hit record? "J-A-Y S-E-A-N" This man is on fire. No way this doesn't follow-up right behind "Down." My only question... with "Down" at #1, why roll this single out now? I would have milked "Down" for another few weeks.

Damn! Jay Sean is doin work. The production was very similar to "Down" but I still liked it. Jay sounded fresh and came with another catchy song. To be honest, I actually enjoyed Lil' Jon's adlibs and Sean Paul came pretty hard. Banger for sure.

Like the others have said, this is a solid follow up track, which could see Jay Sean return to the top 20 when 'Down' falls down the charts.

3.5

It's okay, but sounds way too much like Down, which was better imo. Come with something original next time.

Too generic? sounds like "Down"? for ladies? screams formulaic? Yup! BUT the one that sounds/done better than everybody else efforts, and there is all what it takes for me to like such tracks. BANGER!!!

Sean Paul was the great selection to get on the track, glad to hear him on a bangin! beat and not mediocre production like on his recent album.

Sounds "Down" like. It's still pretty good though. Like DJ Z, I would have had it released several weeks after "Down" falls off-charts though.

Lil' Jon wasn't really necessary, in my opinion. Sean Paul indeed was a good addition.

This song is extremely catchy, but I'm sure that after few listens I get tired of it. It always happens to songs like this one! I preferred Jay Sean in his first albums, when his music was more "indian"!

yo this ku. not as good as "Down" but its similar and catchy. Lil Jon yappin in the background is kinda annoying, but Sean Paul sounds nice. i like the idea of releasing this now while he is on top. this way he can ride the huge momentum he has now before he starts to fall off. dude gotta stay relevant!

Danggg. Looks like Jay Sean has another hit. Does it sound like Down? Yeah, kinda. But Jay Sean delivers. I dunno, but I really love Sean Paul on this song. Coulda done without Lil Jon, but hey, nobody is complaining. Wouldn't be surprised tosee him have another top 10. by the way, Sean's Down made it to number 1 on the Billboard charts, ending the Black Eyed Pease run of over 6 months. Thank you!!

yes, as the 2nd comment said (master08810) most people didn't know bout Jay Sean, especially people from the US...

This track is decent in my opinion, I mean not quite my style, and as the 1st comment said 'Down' was way better.. I'm with him on that point, even tho down sounded also kinda.... y kno.... backstreet boyish lol, and I'm still hoping that Jay Sean will bring again a track as hot as it's 'RIDE IT'....

I'm into the production of this one, not necessarily the best move to let another hit out this early considering his already renown jam, "Down."

In my personal opinion, I was never a fan of "Down," so I find this one very enjoyable. Most definitely worthy of a place on the charts.

WHOA!!!! I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!! It's the PERFECT follow-up to "Down." I actually like this much better than "Down" which is saying a lot because that was also a BANGER. Jay Sean needs to teach all up and coming artists about making those hit records. Lil Jon was a nice hype man for the song and Sean Paul put it down on here himself. 5 Stars all the way.

its pretty good. i like it but ill probably end up loving it by the time ive heard it a few more times. i love the fact that lil jon just screams and gets paid lmao but i cant hate on a playa. sean paul is very good, he adds some energy to this song that's very good and i think the best production of the song was during SP's part. JAI HIND!!!!! :)
