19-year-old Jason Derulo knows his life’s work will be in music, and he already has an extensive résumé to prove it – in addition to writing for such prominent artists as Lil’ Wanye and Kat DeLuna, he also writes and performs his own material. On his new single, Algebra, he responds to the haters who didn’t believe in his star potential. Fliptones gives the young Miami singer/songwriter a polyphonic production on which he flexes his lyrical muscles. ”They say, ‘Become a doctor,’ I don’t have the patience/ The road less traveled is the one that I’ll be taking.” Derulo’s Future History will be released next year.
I like this. the flow of it is not quite my style, but his content is interesting and honest. Alil strange, but good never the less. I can dig it. Not too often, but once in a while.
he wrote for lil wayne? i thought lil wayne freestyles everything. he must have written for him in the carter one days... or maybe a song liek lollipop?lol anyways theis song is straight. i like his computer r&b sound.
I have discovered, thanks to the wonderful members of this site, that different can mean one of two things. Either very good, or very bad. In this case, they have determined that "different = very good." I can't disagree. Impressed me upon first listen... which is why we featured!
Wow this song is similar to those which are famous in our discos...it has a euro feel, or am I wrong? I'm impressed by this, and I'm sure the more I listen to it, the more it will grow on me! Banger! The production is superb!
This song is ok, not his best though, go listen to Teacher and Hush, now those are hits, i guarantee Teacher will rock the speakers, he works on that song, its BANGINN, Hush is almost the same, except Teacher is almost a bedroom song, but it still keeps that R&B feel with his voice, imma cop that album when it comes out most definitely.
This is more a MIX song. Thie song will probably in some DJ's mix. I don't think it has the potential to free stand. I like the lyrics, but the vibe isn't dope enough. I think he has the talent to make it fly and he didn't? Go figure
CHARM PARKER.... Lil' Wayne doesn't freestyle all his shyt. Look him up on YouTube...you'll find him doing an interview and they asked him to rhyme and he started sweating and couldn't really do it - started making up some really DUMB shyt that made no sense. WEEEEAAAKKK.
While I think SOME of his tracks are aight (probably the ones that were written for him) - I think Wayne is TOO over-rated. Not saying he's not talented but he certainly is not the best.
AS FOR THIS SONG - idk...not really my kind of song but it's aight for radio I guess.
