At the ripe young age of 19, Jarvis has his mind on two things: music and women. Born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the R&B singer dreamed of a career as a professional basketball player in the NBA. After recording his independent debut with Tricycle Records at the age of sixteen, however, Jarvis was persuaded to stick with his singing talents and pursue a career in music. To kick off what he hopes will be his biggest year yet, his current indie label, Starstruck Entertainment, has released his new single Pretty Girl. Produced by maddscientist (see Super Villain) and featuring Virgin Island duo (and DJBooth favorite), Rock City, the single is the lead to Jarvis’ spring release, Dream Girls.
Such a sucka 4 diz music!!!!!!!!! hez got a real eazy-2-lisen-2 voice and i love da song.. but the chorus is annoying, degrading da song & makes it sound like some of dat Disney sh*t.. if U wanna make an awsum track U cant stuff up the Chorus bekoz its the most repeated part of the song and therefore the most memorable... Rock City is BADD thow!!!!!!!
i got very little to say about this.the beats can go on spining but the singing although averagely done is not quite professional for me.he is still quite amateur and its so obvious.
Such a low rating for a song that’s got lots of potential! I think Jarvis’s got a steadiness on his voice that Casely lacks, for example. This makes Jarvis as good as Chris Brown, I don’t think Chris would have done a better job. Rock City’s part is great; I think I’m goin to be a huge fan in the future. Beat is nice, could’ve been better though (the rhythms are a little messed up, and it’s a bit repetitive). The chorus is the only weak point on this. Glad to see it didn’t get ya’ll blinded! I give it a 3!
dis nigga used to stay out here n atl...(decatur to be exact)...i was wonderin wat happened to him...ant seen him since 2004....damn...da chorus is annoyin tho. he sounds betta on his thrownback joint "radio". damn jd did him dirty...he was pose to b signed to so so def...
I really really like this beat right here! This dude is really smooth on this track. I think all new R&B artists are following this new smooth sound format and it is doing great for all of them and Jarvis is no exception. This is a good solid track making you want to hear more from Jarvis. Well done.
The chorus of this track brings the song down!
i have heard a few of his other tracks and he ain't too bad, but he's gonna have to bring a bit more to the table if he wants to compete with all the other r&b artists trying to make it.
Aint going to lie...song sounded good until it got to the chorus..i think somebody's song writing skills need a little work..a little more thought should of went into the chorus and whats with the little reggae feature aswell...nothing clicks with this song it sounds like 3 different songs put together.
Yep yep im feelin this song fareal... I love the beat and i like the lyrics... I love that he is frm Tulsa, Ok rippin you the 918... Me too all the way...
... diss song is okay .. me personally ii like the chorus the best becusz it soundsz like a lil kid song ... [[ this song is a problem ]] iim telliin yhu
This definetly a hot song. Of cousre it is a song for the ladies but at the same time fellas can feel it too, club banga and a potential baby maker I cant even hate Jarvis held that @*#$! down.
