Jared Evan - The Opposite of Singing
Artist: Jared Evan
Producer: D-que
Album: Radio in My Head (Extended Version)
Label: Unsigned
The 135th entry in our DJBooth.net Freestyle Series comes courtesy of Jared Evan, the singer/songwriter/emcee who earned reader acclaim for What I Want, Reign and They Don’t Look at Me the Same. On his brand new, exclusive The Opposite of Singing freestyle, the Zone 4/Interscope signee flows over original boardwork by D-que. Jared Evan is currently gearing up for performances at Interscope‘s Super Bowl Party, the CIAA tournament in North Carolina, and this year’s South by Southwest festival. In anticipation of the late-summer release of his first studio album, the artist will be releasing an official single in early spring. Also coming this spring is an expanded edition of Evan’s debut mixtape, Radio in My Head.
Readers can download a copy of the newly-released In the Booth (Volume 3), featuring exclusive freestyles 61 through 90, here! Volumes one and two are available for download here and here.

People have been asking why exactly we like Jared so much here at the Booth. Well... the proof is in the newest freestyle in our series. The definition of a multi-talented artist, who can drop a freestyle as easy as singing a song. The title is as appropriate as you get.
Shouts to D-que on a dope original beat. |

HOT! I also like his song on the More Than a Game Soundtrack titled Frozen. That was actually the first song by him I heard and that's what made me want to check this out. Glad I did.

The man can sing, rap, produce and play instruments? I wouldn't be surprised if he's an ill painter or some s**t. Jared radiates talent, and this freestyle should make believers out of some of the doubters.

The problem is he does all of them equally well. This only make him a better artist for bragging rights in my eyes. Well-executed delivery with slick lines. Can't ask for anything more from a Freestyle entry. |
