While Janet Jackson has experimented with numerous sub-genres during her lengthy career, there are two in particular which remain most dominant. With her synchronized one-with-the-music style being used on the first single (Feedback) off the upcoming Discipline, the album’s second single, Luv, emphasizes her delicate R&B talent. Although some listeners might struggle to hear Janet’s soft vocals over a loud keyboard beat courtesy of Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, it merely emphasizes the point Jackson is trying to make within the confines of her lyrics. Be on the lookout for more of Janet’s best of both worlds style when Discipline drops on February 26.
Oh wow this is like old school janet! And with darkchild again. Looks like discipline is going to be a good comeback album for janet (her past few have been rather iffy).
DarkChild is the Shiznit! Janet is really smooth on this track and I can definitely bop to it. Janet will sell a good amount of records this time out...she has great diversity and she been killin it for a long time! It's not normally my cup of tea, but I wouldn't mind hearing it on the radio!
This is better than Feedback and should have been released first. Janet is an unreal talent and from what I have heard, this album will be something special.
This is decent...coudldnt stand feedback when I first heard it...kinda grew on me after hearing it a few times..even though it aint my type of music...maybe this one will too...sidenote....Janet is still sexy as h e l l
I always know to expect the best from Janet. The songs aight, I like feedback better. It doesnt look like her label is promoting her album enough..Noone knows that Janet has new music out. We know Michael is releasing thriller again with Kanye and fergie, but noone knows about Janets new songs or album.
Janet has resurrected her career with this album. I don't who produced most of the tracks on the last album, but the production on this latest album is "on point." She will probably get nominated for a category in the Grammys next year for this album and you can quote me on that.
Janet is in her genre. i think she was a master in her genres. darkchild has just brought her out again from the shell. darkchild is a beast and janet is a R&B killer. this is great oncemore from her. not bad outta dere
sounds like he recycled the beat from Rock City - See U Around ... nothin wrong wit either song cuz the beats hot but sounds better on janet.....but what wouldn't right??
I usually HATE music like this but this is BAAAAADDDD!!!!!!!!!! ther beat is SOOO fresh and i luv how the vocals are loud and clear because her voice is usually drownd out by her music but this is GOOD!!!!!! ima give it a 5star jut bekoz its so fresh!!
