If there was an award for the most unexpected collab ever, Janet Jackson’s (potential) new single Heart, Beat, Love would be up for a nomination. At first glance we have a random crew of musicians on Heart, Beat, Love, but the combination is nothing less than a certified pop hit. First and foremost is the legendary Janet Jackson, the ringleader of this circus-like song whose smooth and sexy vocals are erotically draped over a Darkchild production that’s sure to be a dance club favorite. With a foundation like that you know they had to get fiery Latino emcee Pitbull, who delivers yet another exciting performance. Add in Machel Montano and Booth favorites Rock City (who appear briefly but are effective in keeping the song lively) and you can see that Janet did her research on which newcomers are making the clubs rock. Keep it locked to the Booth for more music from this array of artists and the latest updates on Janet’s currently untitled next project.

G.I. stand up...even though no one recongnizes us anymore...o well i got us G.I. this year is mine haha i know yall hate but i can dream...and ill make it...pitbull did semi good...all these heavy weights i would have expected a classic but janet might be losing her touch...i hope not cause her old stuff is classic...but this seems a little bit to much and sloppy...but i would mix this in the club but i wouldn't play the whole song...

This can't be the FINAL version of this. It loses so much energy towards the end.

Considering we've never heard a Janet record quite like this (right?), I find this move very interesting. The Darkchild production is good, but there seems to be a bit too much going on at once. I think the clubs will play this, but not because its Janet Jackson record.

poor attempt by a fading artist to stay relevant..unfortunately Janet has no place in today's music if this is her best attempt bc even Rock City and Darkchild couldn't put her in rotation

Darkchild could've done way better than this. Typical Janet since her days with Jermaine Dupri....and I'm a fan of hers. Its an okay song but she could do a lot better.

I can't speak for others, but the main reason I gave this a listen was for my boys Rock City (PTFAO!). Pretty good track from Janet; nice, regular, upbeat club music.

Um....this is a great Pitbull track featuring Janet Jackson. Note to all artists, it's never a good thing if we have to wait a minute to hear your voice on your own track. This production is bananas, and I love Janet, but she's not the reason this is a banger. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go listen to I Get Lonely.

1. Janet's back to legendary form. Her smooth, sensual delivery remains-even at 43 (44 when the album drops).
2. Darkchild's known how to supply her, and he shows 'em all how here.
3. Pitbull rules the clubs. Good contemporary addition.
4. Rock City & Machel Montano, though minimal, hype it up (hope Interscope gets the message)
5. Mr. Dupri is NOWHERE TO BE FOUND-seriously, he's the worst thing that's happened to her career-wise-now that he's gone, she can finally make a true comeback.

BONUS: Her big bro is looking down on her and he's smiling (relax, I hear in heaven they restore us back to looking like we're from Planet Earth-for him that would be "Thriller" era)

I'm not feeling this song. I don't like the direction of this for Janet's album. Its a good supplement track to a full album, but not strong enough for a single in my opinion. Big ups to "Darkchild" as he is still one of my favorite POP/R&B producers, but i think Pitbull throws this track off. Not really a Pitbull fan at all. I think it was hard for Rodney to use a beat that would work with both Janet and Pitbull. Oh well, it just doesn't work for me.
