Within the last week or so, many of Q4’s major releases have played hop-scotch on the calendar. Universal pushed Akon’s Freedom back a week, from November 25 to December 2, and Common’s Universal Mind Control from November 18 to December 9, and Jive delayed Ciara’s Fantasy Ride from December 16 to late January of ’09. Despite all the movement, DJBooth seemed to have things on our calendar under control… until 5pm last night. Slipping and sliding into our inbox courtesy of J Records came Just Like Me – the first single from actor/singer Jamie Foxx’s second release, Man’s Intuition, which will drop on Ciara’s vacated December 16 spot. Featuring a guest appearance by T.I. and production by Tricky Stewart, Foxx should have no problem keeping his pre-holiday spot on the board.

hot beat loving the production. Jamie Foxx vocals was smooth and love the T.I. part. This will for sure get major radioplay. This is a classic! Really blazing!

hmm.. i like how just yesterday i was feeling tough on handing out 4 stars... but this is good. 3.75, cuz i listened to it twice and i'm puttin it in heavy rotation.. not sure if i love it yet or not. rounding up, though

You can never go wrong with a J-Foxx joint! I would have preferred the more unique, soulful Jamie over the more commercial Jamie, but the song is still good though. I really loved the bridge. The hook when it was coming in started sounding like the melody from Mariah Carey's "Touch my Body". T.I blacked out on this! This needed a little something else in my opinion, so it doesn't get classic status...but definitely banger status from me.

This is allright by Jamie...I must say though I like the Usher version way better...although it didn't have T.I. in it who's my man...I still gave it a 3...wouldn't mind listening to it again....

WhyNot, Jamie beats out Usher ANY day!! Ive always liked him and always will, just because he sings so smooth, like every word is meaningful, and this song coming out, which has been HIS first song in a while, is FIREE!! TI always brings his game up, and Jamie doesn't let him shine over him either, BANGERR!!

Jamie Foxx always makes good songs and he doesn't disappoint here. His voice is great and the song is catchy and perfect for clubs and car...I'm not crazy for the hook, though...it could have been better! In rotation!

Totally agree with the Touch My Body references; this has a real teenybopper appealing beat, something a little less flighty might have been a better suit and could've made this on sum classic ish. Not sumthin for my whip and not something I enjoy really at all.
