Jamie Foxx - Best Night of My Life
Artist: Jamie Foxx
Featuring: Wiz Khalifa
Producer: Eric Hudson
Album: Best Night of My Life
Label: RCA
Jamie Foxx has an incredible track record of success, and the talented actor/comedian has some serious plans for his upcoming album Best Night of My Life (known in another incarnation as Body). With previous Booth features Fall for Your Type, Winner and Living Better Now all slated to appear, Foxx could have another chart topping project on his hands. Of course adding a song featuring rising supernova Wiz Khalifa couldn’t hurt, so on the title track Foxx conjures up the same emotion and feeling of Unpredictable, from his 2005 effort. The similarities between the two tracks are downright eerie, from Hudson’s stripped down production to Foxx and Khalifa reprising Foxx and Ludacris’ original chemistry. For his part, Wiz delivers a verse involving his tattoos and appreciation of women who appreciate weed, so nothing earth shattering there, with Foxx’s vocals gliding over the beat, giving the record a smooth, unforced feel. Look for this one to lead off Foxx’s fourth album, soon to be released on December 21. Who knew the term “if it’s not broke, don’t fix it” would still apply after five years?

Short and sweet Sunday feedback: Typical Foxx record. Nothing extraordinary, but Foxx seems to do quite well for himself. Real good look for Khalifa on the feature nod.

Foxx has a good voice although it has never really moved me. Wiz is a little out of place. Overall very listenable.

You could argue that it lacks originality, I say it does its job.

Ok first off, THIS IS WACK! lol... but im serious. This is probally the worst song from Jamie Foxx. Its a lil catchy, but has such weak qaulity. It has no point and the lyrics are horrible. As for Wiz, i was a fan a year ago when he made "Goodbye". That was my favorite song. And then he just got worse and worse, but the ppl just ate him up. Why? I have no F'n idea. Lmao. I swear ppl wouldnt know real music if it hit this in the face. The ONLY thing about song that is better than garbage is the production from Eric Hudson. But im not saying it great or good. Its just better than everything else in this record. O btw i bet everyone loves this song and there will be a lot of pll that hate what i just said. O well:)
