Jamie Drastik - Save Me
Artist: Jamie Drastik
Featuring: Pitbull
Producer: The PROdeuces
Album: Champagne & Cocaine
Label: Mr. 305 Inc/ Famous Artist Music
Since the August ‘08 arrival of Jamie Drastik first and, to date, only Booth feature, the electro-pop style of Now or Later has only become hotter. With a trendy sound and nearly three years’ worth of artistic growth under his belt, the Wappeners Falls, N.Y. native must be ready for primetime, right? Well, I’ve got good news and bad news. the bad news is, I’m gonna have Wonderwall stuck in my head for the rest of the day. The good news is, well, Save Me is some quality tuneage. The PROdeuces’ synth-driven instrumental, based upon – and featuring the chorus from - the Oasis smash mentioned above, sets the stage for some brutally honest reflections on life in the music industry. In between the headliner’s disillusioned but dedicated bars, Jamie’s Mr. 305 boss grabs the mic for a surprisingly personal guest contribution; on his middle 16, Pitbull takes a trip down Memory Lane, charting his growth from a “Little Cuban boy” who thought crime paid to an older, wiser musical superstar. Like what you’re hearing? As Liam Gallagher would say: “By now, you shoulda somehow realized what you gotta do:” hurry up and download Jamie Drastik’s new Champagne & Cocaine mixtape, available now online!

Before I listened to "Save Me" I completely forgot that we had previously-featured Jamie's work. The song is catchy, while unconventional for Pit, and it works all the same.

Is anyone else tired of hearing Wonderwall? I feel like its so played out. The signing in the chorus is sort of off putting. However, it is cool to hear Pitbull change up his style. Normally, were used to hearing him on fast-paced, club tracks, but his slowed pace isn’t half bad. He’s definitely the highlight of this song.

I saw the Pitbull feature and eas expecting another club track (the man has a reputation), but i clicked play and got something different. Jamie got that white bow flow going for him and it was nice to hear Pit on a differnt note.

I kinda like Pitbull better in his M.I.A.M.I days, everything else seems so soft and lame to me. You can't start out hardcore then flame out on your fans,... but then again, I guess u can...

Thumbs up for trying to be different, but thumbs down because it is not as good as it could have been.

I actually think the Oasis sample takes away from the song, it drags vocally which is just too much for this song. The verses were cool but that's about where it ends for me.
