With his last feature, current single Ain’t Leaving Without You, R&B veteran Jaheim swept Booth regulars off their feet, snagging four and five-star ratings from readers and staff alike. How do you jazz up a track that was within kissing distance of perfection to begin with? You add a ‘Kiss, of course. The record’s official remix retains the headliner’s vocals and producer Kaygee‘s slinky, funk-informed boardwork, but boasts a brand new opening verse from none other than D-Block emcee Jadakiss. The East Coast vet sounds right at home in the role of wingman, providing a second (equally favorable) opinion on the female Jaheim’s got his eye on. The changes from the original are minimal, but Jada’s infusion of hip-hop flavor might be just the thing to make this grown-and-sexy jam more palatable to the younger set; what do you think, Booth readers? If you like what you’re hearing, you can find plenty more classic grooves and newer-school sounds on Jaheim’s fifth album, Another Round, set to drop February 9, off Atlantic.

In Chicago, we'd classify this as "steppin" music. Very very classy and Jada does nothing on the "remix" to remove that classification.

Not really feelin' it, maybe cause I'm young but Jada adds some flavor(in my opinion needed) and the beat does sound nice in the background. I agree with that1kid13, I could hear this at a family reunion.

Another more "Grown up" type of record. Makes me wanna go to a night club (25+ club)...(Like were married couples go) and two step.

I liked the original, LOVE the remix. Jada was PERFECT on this! The song reminds me of late-2004, early-2005 about the time when Jada's "Why" was out. Its like Deja Vu to me.

I was suspicious about how well Jada would fit in with this smoothed out cut, but he does a damn good job, and the original vibe is so damn good I'm definitely down to give it a few more listens. Now this is quality music .

One of the best RnB voices, so full of soul and power. Nothing much changes from Original, and Jadakiss blends in with groove smoothly. This will replace the Original in my iPod fa sho!

This is the Remix... ahaaa! Yo nice high heels, jeans huggin' hair to the shoulder, mean muggin' Look like mean lovin' might be friendly-ish, she might be stubborn, and all I know is that she had Jaheim buggin' I was on the other side sippin' and puffin' poppin' over here a lil' different beat touchin' everybody grown no reefin and fussin' you can get that don't sweat that it's nothin' [Jaheim] what is it is what it’s gonna be No, I can’t call it All I know is I had to step up Step up Speed it up, cut the chase Go in for first base Before them other cats try to get ya, get ya You’re moving them hips Killing me with every dip, girl You about to get a tip do it girl Once it goes down and you turned me down But, this time around, I got it shorty Hey, how you doin’? Baby what you getting into? I don’t know what your name is Or who your gamin’ But, I ain’t leaving without you Hey girl how you doin’? I never seen nothing, like you-like you With a body, that shape It’s your claim to fame And girl, I ain’t leavin’ without you. No. Doo-doo-doo-doo-doo, boo, boo doo doo doo whoo! I want your body Your bod, your bod, your bod, your bod, your body Oh, What ya drink? What you sip? I got the next round Martini and goose, now Tell me what’s up, what’s up The conversation my eyes Is havin’ wit your thighs Don’t get me at a lie They better shut up, shut up You’re movin’ them hips Killing me with every dip, girl You about to get a tip do it now The worse that goes down is you turn me down You’re feelin’ your boy now So I got it shorty Hey, how you doin’? Baby what you getting into? I don’t know what your name is Or who your gamin’ But, I ain’t leaving without you Hey girl how you doin’? I never seen nothing, like you “Cause a body, that shape It’s your claim to fame And girl, I ain’t leavin’ without you. No. Doo-doo-doo-doo-doo, boo, boo doo doo doo whoo! I want your body Your bod, your bod, your bod, your bod, your body Doo-doo-doo-oh yeah, doo,doo doo doo doo hey, hey I want your body, your body, your bod, your bod, your bod, your body [Jadakiss] Ahaaaa... Yo let's leave the club and get some rub and get in tub, make some luv and handle our business its me and you, you and me soon you will see that I'm the G and that's what it is the way you move, the way you shift your thighs and hips, your face and lips just somethin' bout you so basically the moral of the story is baby girl I ain't leaving without you ... [Jaheim] Hey, how you doin’? Baby what you getting into-baby what you getting’ into? I don’t know what your name is Or who your gamin’ But, I ain’t leaving without you Hey girl how you doin’? How you doin’? I never seen nothing, like you ‘Cause a body, that shape Is your claim to fame No, I ain’t leavin’ without you. Oohh Hey baby what’s that in your cup? You need to let me fill that up You know I’m tryin to see what’s up with you Eh. And I ain’t thinkin ‘bout your man He shoulda had you by the hand ‘Cause I’m your number one fan Hey how you doin? Hey how you doin? |

I am a huge fan of Jah, loved the original. Not sure why he decided to to a mix because his songs never require a mix in my opinion but Jadakiss added nicely to the mix.

I did not care for this single. I did not feel Jaheim. However, I must agree with one of the other comments posted that it has that stepping beat that it really did not matter who was singing the song.
