Last June, shortly after parting ways with Universal Music, rapper Jae Millz dropped the J. Cardim-produced Holla At A Playa. The record resonated in the streets of New York, along with the countless mixtape tracks that followed; Millz landed a brand new record deal with Weezy’s Young Money Entertainment. Fourteen months later, the record has come full circle on Big Mike & DK Thoro: Grand Theft Audio 6, with Millz’ new boss hopping aboard for a remix, baaaaby! With the success of Tha Carter 3, Wayne will doubtless be under an intense microscope whenever he pushes his own stable of talent into the limelight. Unlike other signees Mack Maine and Brisco, however, Millz has been hustling in the streets for several years and has the experience to strike out on his own.
1ST!!!!!!!!!!!! Why even have rappers? when lil wayne is featured on every darn song and outshines whoever song he is on. Producers should just stop making beats for these losers and put all there resources into WAYNE to make the ULTIMATE ALBUM cause THA CARTER III was TIGHT BUT SO OVERHYPED
the beat is nice. the hook coould of been better. the holla at a playa part of the hoook is annoying. i like weezy's verse he does his thing on this. jae mills was straight.
This track is tight. Jae Millz is good, but rappers need to recognize; Wayne gets people listening to ur track, but only for him. He's a mixed blessing.
Jae Millz came off on this. J Cardim's production SHINES on this track! Real hot. It would've been nice if it could've banged a tad harder, but this track was mad swagger. I'll throw this in rotation.
The clapping break is the highlight of the track. Weezy is a maestro. He should of done the whole song because he worked the beat better than Jae Millz.
uhmm i FREAKin love this .. its pretty schweet... uhmmm im not feelin the hook as much as the rest of the song yet though .. aint the sayin "holla at a playa kinda old" ? :/
omg lil' wayne has TAKEN OVER. Ft. Lil' Wayne ft. Lil' Wayne ft. Lil' Wayne haha. anyways Jae Millz was pretty good, and lil' wayne KILLED IT. Beat was alright- I'm not wicked crazy about the song as a whole doesn't really keep my attention.
