Born in Savannah, Georgia, the Jackie Boyz grew up with a love for music. Instilled in them by their late mother, Jackie, the boys ventured westward in search of stardom. With their triple threat ability to write, sing and perform, the brothers have aligned themselves with the likes of Bryan Michael Cox and Bobby Brown, just to name a few. On their debut single, Callin’ Me, the duo takes a page out of T-Pain’s successful play book and implements the catchy voice box. Over a track courtesy of producer MDL, the boyz let their lady know that no matter her means of communication, they want her to “keep callin’ me, callin’ me, callin’ me!” With a distinct hit making ability, expect a few major labels to start calling.
OOh they fine, whats their number? They killin that voice box though!!They shouldnt have used the voice box in all of the song, I wanna know if they can really sing. But they harmonize really well.
OOOOOo0ooooHHHHHH they so fine! Ha. They sound good enough, I don't know, I could use less voice box though. I for one am getting a little tired of it unless it is used to create a great song. When there are two in a group, each of them get paid less right?
Seriously though... I'm feeling the track and the writing! The heavy overuse of AT is really messing up the song though. Thats unfortunate because I think I really like the song otherwise. Damn... yall went a fukked up a hit!
After just hearing another one of their songs... seems like they need more vocal training so the heavy AT might have been necessary to keep this from being a bomb. They should sell their songs right now instead of releasing them as artists
I kinda like this track; but I just hope that people don't start thinking if they use the voice box it is an automatic hit. I think the machine is best suited for T-Pain and Akon (once in a while). I would rather hear their natural voices on this track. It sounds decent though and if it came on again, I might listen again...
Kellz, i think everyone who uses the voice box thinks they are making a "great song" lol. this beat is girly! it should be on a Ciara album or Cassie or someone like that
Not bad. Voice box is becoming a staple in the music industry; in particular, the R&B and Hip-Hop genre. I need to hear another track from the J-Boyz. This is a simple smooth track.
I don't think Akon should use it. Has he yet? Akon's always had more passion in his singing, unlike T-Pain, so using that would ruin that passion. They should drop the voice, anyways. They sound like they could be really talented.
They could be a good group, but we wanna hear their real voices. Artists need to loose the annoying voice box!
But if they have aligned themselves with the likes of Bryan Michael Cox then it looks like they must be doin something right!
