Those counting their blessings can add one more to the list – Oklahoma City native and Caraway1965 crew member Jabee‘s stepped into the Booth with a track so divine that you may want to say “Grace” before listening. On mixtape cut A Blessing, the Booth newcomer introduces himself with one uninterrupted verse, touching upon his artistic process (“[I] don’t brag about not writin’, I’m a poet at heart), affirming his loyalty to his hood and name-dropping a few of his biggest musical influences (2Pac, Jodeci…) over BeatzbyDarkness’ catchy, midtempo blend of synths, piano, and vocal samples. Clocking in at just under a minute and a half, A Blessing ends all too quickly, but it’s plenty long enough to hook listeners on Jabee’s vivid lyrical style and melodic flow. If this hip-hop benediction leaves you intrigued, you’re sure to find more to your liking on the artist’s Mick Boogie-hosted Must Be Nice mixtape, out now and available for free download online.

Nicey! Jabee is impressive here! Never heard the guy but I'm adding him to the radar. Anything Mick Boogie puts his work into definitely doesn't dissapoint. The production here gave off a really happy party vibe that I can definitely rock wit. Very impressive.

Jabee's people sent over a bunch of records and this was the best of the bunch. I was ready for it to go a bit longer myself (as Richard pointed out), but as I always say "Quality over Quantity is important." Nice first feature inside the Booth!

Jabee's definitely got some potential, but for some reason this track just didn't grab me. Maybe it was just too short to get a solid feel for his style.

Like most have said its not a long track but the beat and the flow is great. I have a feeling we might be hearing a few more cuts from this guy real soon.

This one was too short. Not bad, though. Nice music!
