In recent days, independent powerhouse SRP Records has been a sure-shot avenue to success for artists of Caribbean descent (in addition to making Rihanna a household name, they helped get fellow Barbados native Shontelle into the limelight this past fall). Hoping to become the next musical sensation to emerge from the islands, SRP‘s newest signees, Orain ‘Shabbz’ Stewart, brothers Byron and Dru Barwise and Andrew ‘A.T.’ Thompson, together known as J-Status, have released a brand new promo single. Going through tough times with their respective women, the Jamaican foursome ask the ladies to help them pick up the Pieces of their broken hearts. Featuring a memorable vocal contribution by Shontelle and relaxing production by Arif Cooper, Pieces should have what it takes to become a strong regional (and indie radio) hit. The only question that remains is, will distributors take notice?

Overall, this is an average song. But it is a good look for these new artists, and I was feelin it. I like the reggae-influenced production and their vocals worked well over the track. This sounds like a radio hit to me... we'll see

Now, this here is nice!!! I love the reggae vibe to this track. This, is typically the style reggae I listen to - "lovers music". Puts me on an island w/ an drink in a coconut cup w/ an umbrella!
The production is nice, vocally they all sound decent. I'ma go ahead and throw this one in rotation. |

Jamacan/ reggae Boys II Men. thats whats up. I've never really been a fan of Shontelle though, she's too basic. shallow as a shower in her recent album. i could listen to this though. Can't help but to sway.

Yeah yeah, this is my kind of Jam! It's got that reggae-R&B-pop feel that really works. Production and vocals were also great. This is a hit
