In cult science fiction classic The Fifth Element, a taxi driver played by Bruce Willis becomes an unlikely hero when a mysterious, gibberish-speaking woman tumbles into his flying taxicab, drawing him into an elaborate struggle for the fate of the planet Earth. Hell of a way to start a relationship. Fresh off producing Talib Kweli‘s Congregation, J. Rhodes fantasizes about finding himself in a similar situation, praying for the girl of his dreams to fall out of the sky and bewitch him with her out-of-this-world charms. Sir Tim assists on the production tip, teaming up with the headliner to create an appropriately spacey synth backdrop for his lovestruck bars, and Ben Cina serenades the woman in question on his heartfelt hook. Fans will be able to find this record and much more on Rhodes’ Oak Cliff Huxtable tape, set to hit the ‘net October 8.
