Inside peanut butter, outside jelly/Seven days of the week, seven different Chevys…”  With those words, Mississippi duo Cadillac Don & J. Money entered the nation’s consciousness, just after the release of their 2006 debut album, Look At Me.  Unfortunately, their success was short-lived, and the duo has since split in pursuit of solo careers.  Coming the first quarter of 2009, aspiring baseball player/emcee J. Money will release his solo debut, My Life “Check Me Out.”  The first single off the project is the easygoing Southern jam I’m Ballin.  The track, which has unofficially floated around the Net for several months, is so easygoing, in fact, that it features guest artist Rick Ross poking fun at the rumors about his alleged relationship with Foxy Brown.  Producer Big Fruit‘s low-brass beat allows I’m Ballin’ to properly be played in the whip – not really as a speaker-blaster, but more as cruising music.

Stale topic, but enjoyable easygoing listen. I am curious to read what other members think about J.

This is weak to me on as far as lyrics, on the other side of the song the beat is smooth, I can always ride to tracks like this, somethin my boy Pimp C woulda killed. Ross made this song too.

I'm feelin the beat and the music but not him, he's quite annoying to my ears. I think he ruined a lil the song, with this production it could have been way better! 2,5

easy to listen too. I think it affects a lot of folks trying to get down in the music biz "never worry 'bout the next man or his advance."
