Like many other successful R&B singles, J. Holiday‘s Bed has spawned numerous ‘unofficial’ remixes. The official remix, however, is not the typical paste old beat, add new beat remix. The new production, courtesy of producers The Platinum Brothers, heavily samples Puff Daddy & R. Kelly‘s classic Satisfy You as J. Holiday’s original lyrics (albeit in a lower key) alternate with guest vocals from Trina. As Ja Rule begins verse three, the beat flips once again, and LL Cool J’s I Need Love is sampled. With Bed at the height of its popularity look for the remix to start gaining airplay on various urban radio stations.
this is good, BUT why these wack ass artists on the remix? for real, the one with Plies, the one with Chingy, the one with Nina Sky, they're all better then this because the artists, but I do love this beat with the new slow melody of the song. good tune, better artists woulda been nice.
BED is a hot song. Some songs are made not to be ReMixed or reFixed. This remix is Wick-Wick-WACK. (Laughing) Trini could of held this down this down by herself. Jah wasn't needed and J. Holiday (my Baby -i luv him) sounds like he's struggling with his verses.
of course this is only an opinion ~from the mind of a GREAT Female dj.
I am not feeling the beat like that..I like the original beat better. I think Ja and Trina actually have decent lyrics...But will this remix help j holiday sell more records...Probably not
y r dere so many remixes 2 dis damn remix?! ;-( dis shit is horrible and i like ja but damn....da only remix dat should actually be dubbed "remix" is da one wit plies...cuz dat nigga ripped dat shit....omg i jus realized dat ja said sumthin bout dat song trina made called big ol dick....lmao hilarious! dat song makes me laugh...am i da only one dats heard dat song?
this song not only isn't as good as the original, it does a diservice to the original samples ("I got 5 on it" and "I need love") Why mess with a good thing?
If you must blame someone for "biting," blame Diddy & Kells for biting "I Got 5s On It" for "Satisfy You." They are more guilty there than J. Holiday is.
The raps sound tacked on and ridiculous with this kind of love song, but the beat is hot. Or should I say still hot, since it is only decent because it samples hits by the Luniz AND LL. And does nobody remember how Luniz bit the ish out of Club Nouveau for the original I Got 5 On It? The sample is from Why You Treat Me So Bad first, THEN I Got 5 On It, THEN Satisfy You samples the Luniz sample and so does the Bed remix. You can tell cuz you can hear the Jungle Boogie little horn hit that the Luniz put in there.
