Album: The Power of One

In addition to bringing you exclusive content (see TreaZon‘s 45 Days series and our Exclusive Freestyle Series) we at DJBooth work hard to make sure our readers hear the latest records before anyone else. Today, we’re proud to be the first site on the net to feature singer/composer/producer/multi-instrumentalist Israel Houghton‘s brand new record, Surely Goodness. Set for inclusion on the Grammy award-winner’s fourth studio album, The Power of One, this cut puts a radio-ready Caribbean spin on a Christian message. The reggae-flavored instrumental stylings of Houghton, Aaron Lindsey, and Tommy Simms add pop appeal, as does Dancehall Queen-turned-gospel minister Chevelle Franklyn‘s vocal contribution on the back end. If you’re looking for more uplifting tunes with a faith-based message, be sure to pick up The Power of One when it drops on March 24th.

WOW! The booth is definitely getting diverse. I'm looking at this man's poster on my wall right now. Israel is a great talented and blessed gospel musician. I'm so surprised to see this featured on her. It's a decent track. I'm more fond of Israel's more upbeat tracks, but this is smooth, uplifting and spiritually fulfilling. Good stuff.

No matter your musical preference or religion, this song is extremely soothing to the eardrums. After hours of listening to mostly crap music in my inbox, this hits the spot.
**Closes eyes, takes a deep breath, and pictures oneself on warm, sunny island.** |
