Isaiah Rashad - Fake Trill
Artist: Isaiah Rashad
Producer: Chris Calor
Album: None (Promo Single)
Label: Unsigned
Real may recognize real but, for those who need a little assistance, Part III emcee Isaiah Rashad demonstrates how to distinguish Fake Trill from the genuine article on a freshly-minted promo single. Chris Calor provides a smooth backdrop for the Chattanooga repper’s rhymes, and Rob December kicks things off with the opening verse. Craving more? Stay tuned; this joint is attached to an EP from The House (a collective of artists based out of Chattanooga and Nashville, TN) set for release in mid-July.

Isaiah is one of the most slept on artists. I really respect this record, because he is calling out all the people using 'trill' to get a cool pass, and aren't even from the south.

I don't know what "Fake Trill" really really means, but thanks to Isaiah I now know about it haha. I would have preferred that he slash that unneeded extended instrumental intro, but there is enough here to see the talent on display and quickly forget about it.

This is sick! Great work with the flow by Isaiah Rashad and Rob December. This is GREAT Music. That bassline is mean in the beat by Chris Calor. This is FIRE...

Isaiah Rashad is honestly one of my favorite artists on the come up as of right now. He already has a developed and identifiable sound and consistent quality beat selection from in-(the)house producers Chris Calor and The Antydote. On this track in particular, Rob December delivers a solid conceptual first verse and Isaiah follows through with a revealing verse of his own, hitting some quick on-and-off flows. Always exciting to hear what's next from these two.
PS: I may have mixed this song. Look out for the Fake Trill EP. #HouseUp |
