Intuition - I Stink at Naming Freestyles
Artist: Intuition
Producer: Equalibrum
Album: Untitled Project w/ VerBS
Label: Unsigned
The 174th entry in our DJBooth.net Freestyle Series comes courtesy of Intuition, the Los Angeles resident who earned reader acclaim for Hip No Ties back in December of 2009. On his brand new, exclusive, I Stink at Naming Freestyles freestyle, the currently-unsigned emcee flows over original boardwork by Equalibrum. Intuition is currently working with VerBS on the yet-untitled full-length follow-up to their 2009 EP, Buzz, as well as working with Equalibrum on the follow-up to their recently-released Girls Like Me LP (available now on iTunes).
Readers can download a copy of In the Booth (Volume 4), featuring exclusive freestyles 91 through 120, here! Volumes one, two and three are available for download here, here and here. Watch for Volume 5 to hit our front page in late May.

BIG thanks to Intuition and Equilibrium for creating this DOPE entry in our Series.
Instead of giving us the minimum two minute requirement, we get roughly three minutes of non-stop rhymes over a smoothed-out, retro hip hop beat. If I was a betting man - which I am not... anymore - I'd say our loyal Booth heads will certainly dig this. |

My intuition is telling me that this kid can spit. Production was nice, and I'm happy to say that I'm looking forward to hearing more. Solid effort.

Love the instrumental - and the wordplay. Too bad @RyanSx used my "intuition" pun.

GREAT addition to the series. Has that "Make It Up As You" feel that I think all Freestyles should have. That piano ride out on the end is the icing on the cake. I would put this right up there with recent entries by CyHi, Big K.R.I.T and K-BETA.

Very odd to hear every word pronounced fully and correctly. With that mind I liked what he did with this freestyle. On-Point. 3.5

Shamless plug: Go cop Intuition's I Ruined These Songs mixtape on RefinedHype.com. That's the project that first turned me onto Intuition's rhyme style, a working man intelligence that he drops on this freestyle. If only every one still rhymed like this...

Wow, did he just rhyme DJBooth.net with Tube Top Wet? This is what the freestyle series is all about - fun, clever, and original lyrics.

Every line goes together which i love. They all make sense and are real smart. Not to mention how good the production was on this. This song put him on my radar.
