For those who claim to know everything there is to know about DJBooth.net, here’s a quick trivia question: When the Booth started featuring new music, who was the very first artist to have a record put up on the front page? If you haven’t guessed by now, it was India.Arie, with her neo-soul single, I Am Not My Hair (the original version, before the beat was remixed and Akon was added as the feature). Several years later, Arie is back and ready to continue her Testimony (which began with 2006’s Vol. 1: Life & Relationships), with the February 10th release of Vol. 2: Love & Politics. Her newest single, Chocolate High, is a laid-back and relaxed duet with Musiq Soulchild (whose brand new album, OnMyRadio, dropped Tuesday) and provides exactly what you’ve come to expect from both artists.

I don't usually like her songs, (although i did like "i am not my hair") this song is nice and chill, i didnt like Musiq's feature unfortunately but over all it could go in rotation

It's important for artists to stay in their lane and clearly India.arie has done just that. This has classic R&B written all over it. Her & Musiq have been tight for years now and it shows as they harmonize very well together. He owes her one for releasing this right around the same time as his album drops too. (By the way Musiq's album dropped today! It is yet another great album for his catalogue. -Cop It! You'll luv it...)

She has a nice voice and the beat was decent- not very good though. And i liked Musiq- he was cool. Overall, it's okay. I'm never going to listen to it again though.

Actually i did listen to it...like 95% and i didn't say it was bad- I said it was okay and they had good voices- just ain't my type of slow song.

India and musiq usta be a item huh? Forgive me if its not true, I'm not trina start any rumors. This is a nice track. India always brings good quality music to the table. I'm high on Musiq Soulchild right now. His album is really good this time around. If you like good R & B with good love lyrics. Grab that. Don't be fooled by the title track, he is himself on that one.

I always love India's music. It's helped me through some times in the past two years. It definitely helped me in 2006 after graduating high school and I was feeling like I had no purpose in life. I remember long bus rides home from working long hours at Target and listening to "Acoustic Soul" in the headphones. I'm usually not a big fan of Musiq Soulchild, but this joint is real smooth. I can't wait for India's new album. Her music soothes you and it speaks to the soul. WOW, I'm glad you at least listened to it and everything. That's wassup. This is real R&B with a sincere message.

in defense of WOW:) and to people like djelectric, im really getting tired of the fact that because not all of us are "grown", that you try to downplay what we like. I'm 16, and will be 17 soon. (Same age as WOW) That doesnt mean i don't know what good music is. The point of commenting songs is for everyone to express what they feel, and everyone feels differently. Everyone has different tastes, don't downplay people cause they dont like what you do.

I like India and love musiq as artist. I like that they are afrocentric and they keep it real and positive in there music.This song was alright, I would listen to it again but its nothing to tell anyone else about.

It's not my type of song but these 2 artists have wonderful voices, intense and sexy. The production is sexy and soulful...I wouldn't listen to this again but it's a great song

Great collaboration. India.Arie has long been a GREAT artist to bump while doing household chores, laundry, cooking, etc... So basically, she is grown up music.

1st I like to say, India is lookin very pretty in dat pic. You can always count on India to release good uplifting music. I neva actually pictured India & Musiq working together. Is this their 1st colabo?! They did a really good job. I will definitely be spinnin this!
