Despite what certain rappers would have you believe, even the poorest neighborhoods in the country are made up of more than just pimps, prostitutes, gangsters and drug dealers—as Illus reminds us, the vast majority are hard-working fathers, mothers, Songs and Daughters, struggling to make their way in the world. On his latest single, the Connecticut native hooks up with guest emcees Eternia, Wordsworth and singler Erin Barra to tell listeners what life is really like in his ‘hood, backed by J.J.Brown‘s smooth sample work. Love the passion, heart and soul in this track. Everyone brings their A game to create a truly positive and inspiring track. Something Hip-Hop can never have enough of. Love Eternia and Illus teaming up. They sound great together.
