A veteran T-Dot rhymesayer has partnered with producer Double Time to create a joint EP as duo IllSmith. Today, the twosome give fans their first foretaste of the DJBooth-hosted project in the form of lead single Wilin, making its world premiere right here on our front page. Backed by his partner’s siren-esque synths, trunk-rattling percussion and sampled yelps, the emcee encourages young listeners to knock back drinks at the local spot rather than throwing bullets out on the streets. Feeling it? This club-ready selection is just one of five fresh cuts set to appear on The Murkle, set to drop digitally via the Booth on April 1.

This is certainly a NEW sound for Kardi, but that makes sense given the new duo stage name and re-branding. It won't make his loyalist fans happy, but he has earned the veteran status that allows freedom of expression.

This beat by Double Time is crazy. IllSmith was pretty cool with the flow and I can play this again.
