“Buzz” may be one of the most overused terms in hip-hop, but whatever “buzz” is, Iggy Azalea’s got it. Everyone in hip-hop seems to feel like they need to have an opinion on the Australian import, and the chatter should only increase now that she’s released the video for her first official single, Murda Business. For the XXL Freshwoman’s latest headlining DJBooth feature producer Bei Maejor crafts a bouncing and snapping beat that leaves plenty of room to breathe; all the better for highlighting Iggy’s surprisingly tough flow and penchant for punchlines: “…stay broke and die / while I keep makin hits with these coca lines.” (Get it?) As if that wasn’t enough, Grand Hustle CEO and Azelea’s newfound mentor T.I. stops by to lend the single some high-caliber weight, delivering a typically nonchalant 16 focused on (figuratively) murdering his foes. So how about it DJBooth Nation? Has Iggy delivered on all the hype, or was the buzz just talk? Either way, more debate is sure to ensue as we creep closer to the release of Iggy’s boldly titled debut album, The New Classic, which is still awaiting a release date.

Oh, Iggy. I want to embrace your sound/music, but "Murda Bizness" isn't going to be the one that pushes you over my imaginary hump (musically speaking, of course).
I have not heard enough of her work to make a firm decision on her career prospects, but it feels like she is pushing. Is she really this hard? I just don't know.

I think Iggy's flow needs lots of work. I'm not feeling her lyrics at all. The beat is just OK and T.I. is about the only thing that makes any sense.

I can't fade this one here. Not a ounce of anything she saying here that sounds believable or realistic. 1. This has "ghost-writer" ALL OVER IT. and 2. She bites lines from Shittin on em (Nicki).

i dunno still cant get into this chic. like her hype is just bigger than she is. to be honest i started listening then drifted off n only started listening again when i heard T.I. sooo the 2 stars r for the beat and T.I. lol

Man all these haters on here..... This track goes hard beat is off the hook her lyrics so so T.I gets it in the hook isn't bad either just too many haters out there. Once she hits the top of the charts bet these haters change their minds and jump on before they become a victim of the " MURDA BIZNESS". Hhahaha

i'm actually not against her. kinda sympathetic to her bc the azelia banks chick went all c*nty on her bc she was a XXL freshman, but this is trash. i don't know what her true sound is, but this can't be it. they could not have signed/hyped this chic off of this flow and these lyrics

Tune isnt so bad better than alot of nikki's tracks i've heard, seems theres alot of hating going on about Iggy, I dont know enough about here to judge her.
In my humble opinion; being a white, female rapper doesnt instantly mean shes fake, I'll wait for more before I make that judgment. |

Honestly do not see why people giving her such a hard time like really...the song was not even that bad smh well I liked the song. People saying she is fake like really when it comes to female rappers in my opinion she is better than all of them that is in the lime light right now (speaking mostly towards Nikki) like come on people be real about this.
